明确农村教育的内涵,探寻农村教育发展的基本特质及其规律,是构建农村教育发展理论以及推进农村教育改革的前提。从我国农村社会发展现实看,从行政区域和户籍制度进行界定,农村教育的内涵有四种。农村教育的内涵和特质相较于城市教育也是明显的,立足于农村教育的内涵和特质,提出农村教育发展的基本规律。     

历史视角下“农村教育”含义辨析

"农村"和"农村教育"都是历史概念,产生于近代城乡二元结构形成的历史背景下。虽然当下已经成为普遍使用的词语,但它却产生于一定的社会、经济条件之下,它的存在和使用都具有一定的前提,并且随社会条件的变化而发生改变。农业、农民、农村三者的关系及其变化,导致"农村教育"具有广义和狭义之分,不同层面的"农村教育"含义也指代了农村教育的不同形式。     

课程开发：含义、性质和层次

分析课程开发的含义，明确课程开发与课程编制、课程编订的关系；探讨课程开发的性质(政治性、社会性、协作性)，明确课程开发所承担的任务和产生的结果；研究课程开发的层次，知其可分为宏观、中观和微观三个层次。如果从教育行政机构担当角色的角度分析，那么课程开发又可分为国家、地方和学校三个层次。

Crossroads of public art,nature and environmental education

This paper explores how environmental education through ecological art can help students develop creativity, critical thinking, and an arts-informed notion of being a citizen of the world. In illustrating the importance of uncovering the relationship between environmental education and ecological art, the paper examines how this may be used to promote intellectual development, inspiration, and a greater consciousness about social and environmental issues. Through a discussion of examples of classroom projects and processes that integrate art into the curriculum, the paper examines how teachers can use the work of ecological artists to help students learn to ask questions and examine contextual information about ecological art, which are argued to be essential for engagement and motivation. The paper also discusses how infusing ecological art into environmental education can help individuals develop a greater sense of connection with nature both within and beyond the classroom setting.     

理论与现实:传统法学教育 VS 法律诊所教育

法学教育模式决定了法学人才培养的质量.传统法学教育模式在培养研究型人才方面起到了至关重要的作用,但在培养应用型法律人才方面存在明显不足.法律诊所教育模式在一定程度上克服了这一不足,在培养应用型法律人才方面具有优势.明确法学教育改革的内容、目标和关键问题,引入法律诊所教育模式,构建法律诊所教育模式体系是这一模式选择中需要解决的重要问题.     

Exploring the nature and implications of student teacher engagement with development education initiatives

In this article, the authors outline and discuss the findings of a research study, which explored student teacher engagement with development education (DE) interventions implemented within Professional Master of Education (PME) programmes across eight Irish Higher Education Institutions. Interpretivist methods were employed incorporating questionnaires administered to 536 student teachers pre and post the DE intervention and 6 focus group discussions conducted with 26 student teachers. Findings indicate that the capacity of PME students to engage with development issues and integrate DE into their teaching has strengthened considerably because of their participation in the intervention. However, in order to build upon this more must be done with respect to: strengthening student teachers’ knowledge of development issues; embedding DE further across PME programmes; enhancing practical engagement with DE on School Placement and prioritising DE-related research and reflection. Findings align with a conceptual understanding of DE as a complex system.     

Religion, nature, science education and the epistemology of dialectics

In his article Scientists at Play in a Field of the Lord, David Long (2010) rightly challenges our presumptions of what science is and brings forth some of the disjunctures between science and deeply held American religious beliefs. Reading his narrative of the conflicts that he experienced on the opening day of the Creation Museum, I cannot help but reconsider what the epistemology of science is and science learning ought to be. Rather than science being taught as a prescribed, deterministic system of beliefs and procedures as it is often done, I suggest instead that it would be more appropriate to teach science as a way of thinking and making sense of dialectical processes in nature. Not as set of ultimate “truths”, but as understandings of processes themselves in the process of simultaneously becoming and being transformed.
