高校信息素养课程的学生需求特征实证研究：基于KANO模型

文章运用KANO模型基本理论,从学生满意度出发将高校图书馆信息素养课程教学内容及模式划分为14个指标。并以面向三峡大学本科生为例,通过问卷调查、数据统计及满意敏感性分析等步骤将指标进行归类和重要性排序,分析揭示本科生的课程需求状况。基于需求状况,从关键因素、一般因素、无关因素三个层级进行因素改进分析及提出满意度提升策略。旨在为改善高校图书馆本科生信息素养课程效果及学生满意度提供参考。

围绕三个主要问题开展讨论，以科学发展、自主创新与和谐社会等主导思想为纲要，进行深入和辨正探讨．将传统图书馆信息教育职能提升到信息素养层面，为文献检索课的归属和突破厦其改革提出实践模式和积极建议。     

An Analysis of Undergraduate Students' Search Behaviors in an Information Literacy Class

The purpose of this project was to investigate how students' search strategies changed over the course of a semester-long information literacy class. Data collection included four different paper questionnaires corresponding to course content in the spring 2008 semester. Seventy-seven participants completed the questionnaires and course work in the class. Results showed that participants' demographics did not have any impact on their selection of search keywords. While participants reported better search experiences with more search keywords, they were not able to develop more sophisticated search keywords after receiving more instruction and search experience. The participants who did develop more sophisticated search keywords had better search experiences and a higher rate of satisfaction with their research results. Future studies should examine what enabled these participants to develop more sophisticated search keywords.     

The Case for e-Book Literacy: Undergraduate Students' Experience with e-Books for Course Work

This paper investigates how electronic books (e-books) are used for scholarly activity. It focuses on the end-users of e-books in a case study which aimed to establish how scholars use and learn from e-books and the limitations of academic e-books.     

The Self-Study as an Information Literacy Program Assessment Tool

ABSTRACT

The J. Paul Leonard Library at San Francisco State University is engaged in a number of information literacy efforts. The library's new information literacy coordinators had many questions about the library's current activities and how to further develop its information literacy program. In the 2006–2007 academic year, the Library Education Committee obtained a more accurate understanding of the library's information literacy efforts through a self-study process. A survey instrument was created and distributed to all teaching librarians. The results of this study were contrasted with the Association of College and Research Libraries' (ACRL) Characteristics of Programs of Information Literacy That Illustrate Best Practices: A Guideline in order to facilitate program assessment and long-term planning.     

试论网络文化与大学生信息素质教育

本文通过对网络文化特点的深刻分析,联系目前大学生教育的实际,论述了网络文化对大学生素质教育的积极推动作用,同时通过实际调查数据验证了网络文化对大学生产生的不可忽视的负面影响,对网络文化建设提出了趋利避害的应对措施,以求进一步推进网络文化在大学生教育中的健康发展。     

Assessing Information Literacy Instruction in the Basic Communication Course

Information literacy is becoming a key component of general education programs nationwide. As a critical part of most general education programs, the basic communication course is on the frontlines of the charge to teach information literacy skills to first-year students. Thus, the information literacy skills of basic course students should be assessed to track the effectiveness of instruction and pedagogical practices. The present study used a pretest/posttest design with experimental and control groups to assess the effectiveness of information literacy instruction in the basic course. As predicted, students in the experimental group outperformed students in the control group on the information literacy measure. Results of the present study have implications for basic course directors and instructors, general education curriculum specialists, and librarians.

分析了目前大学生信息素养存在的主要问题,根据大学生信息素养构成要素,建立了大学生信息素养培育机理模型。围绕信息检索课程构建了大学生信息素养研究性培育模式,着重对该模式的研究主题和研究过程进行了阐述。     

Course Grade as a Measure of the Effectiveness of One-Shot Information Literacy Instruction

SUMMARY

In an attempt to gauge the effectiveness of their information literacy program, librarians at Stephen F. Austin State University began comparing average course grades in course sections that receive IL instruction to grades in sections that do not. The results varied, revealing no clear benefit to information literacy instruction. We discuss possible explanations for inconsistent results and suggest improvements to this methodology that may make it more effective.

美国马里兰大学建筑图书馆学科馆员与该校建筑学院教师密切合作，建构了一门独具特色的建筑学课程，在学科教学的同时进行信息素质教育，获得了良好的教学效果和社会效益。其思路与做法值得国内高校信息素质教学及图书馆借鉴。

本文从当代文献检索课存在的问题着手,指出信息素质教育与文献检索课整合的必要性,提出如何按L.Dee Fink的整合课程设计模型进行整合设计及整合过程中应注意的一些问题。     

我校本科生信息素质状况评价

图书馆的信息素质教育是传统用户教育在信息社会下的提升与发展。对当代大学生的信息素质进行评价是信息素质教育过程中的重要环节。文章利用指标评价的方法进行问卷调查和研究。     

Teaching Information Literacy to Faculty: An Experiment

Faculty at Southeastern University were required to take an information literacy course designed by the librarians. The author then interviewed faculty regarding their attitudes toward the course and information literacy. Librarians were especially interested in whether taking this course would change the faculty's approach to teaching information literacy in the classroom. Librarians evaluated the course and recommended future changes based on the results of these interviews.

以塔里木大学本科教学改革为契机,在分析学校信息素养教育现状的基础上,将信息素养教育嵌入专业课程教学,实施了信息素养教育与学科课程整合的三种模式,并就如何促进我国高校信息素养教育提出了四点建议。     

Learning by Doing: Performance Assessment of Information Literacy across the First-Year Curriculum

In the 2011–2012 school year, the instruction librarians at Augustana College, Illinois, changed their assessment approach in the college's required first-year sequence to focus on higher-level information literacy concepts. The librarians replaced a quantitative assessment instrument with performance assessments, which they integrated into their first-year library sessions. Although the sequence is taught by many faculty with diverse assignments, these new assessments could be applied organically across sections yet provide generalizable results. This case study describes that assessment project and its initial findings, analyzes the project's implications, and suggests how other college libraries might adopt similar qualitative assessments.
