教育中的新制度主义

制度理论一直将教育领域作为一个重要的研究对象。近十几年来,在教育领域出现了三个显著的变化,它们分别是教育服务提供从单一走向多元、教育系统结构从松散变为紧密以及教育制度重要性的增加。这些教育制度变化的新对于以往制度理论的基本命题提出了挑战,要求重新审视一些制度关系,如同形性与多样性、合法性与效率、松散性与紧密性、制度约束与制度创新、政府与市场等。这预示着对于教育领域进行制度研究的广阔前景。     

论学校制度关系与道德教育

学校是制度性存在,制度是道德的基础。学校制度关系是学校社会关系的组成,也是学校社会关系的根本。道德教育在学校社会关系中展开,道德教育过程首先并且主要是学校制度性互动的过程。制度关系与道德教育既有同质性方面,也有异质性方面,扩大同质性并克服异质性是教育从而也是道德教育的内在要求。     

THE PRIVATE SCHOOL IN THE AMERICAN SCHEME OF EDUCATION

This article explores the possible contribution to Jewish education found in the resources of Judaica scholarship. It begins by exploring the complex and often uneasy connection between the world of the university and the world of education and then offers an alternative to this tension by suggesting ways that Jewish subject matter scholarship might both help expand Jewish educational research and improve the actual practice of education. Four models are offered as means of implementing these ideas. These models are explored through specific examples and analysis of the potential advantages and challenges embedded in each.     

AMERICAN RACISM: THE NULL CURRICULUM IN RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

Religious educators, in neglecting to account for race in their theories, have ignored the historical legacy of institutional racism. In fact, religious education has demonstrated an inadequate response to race and racism throughout its history. As evidenced by slavery and immigration history in the United States, race must be seen as a sociohistorical and legal construction. Its influence goes beyond the assimilationist ideology taught in early Methodist curricula. The article suggests that the Bible can be a rich multicultural curriculum resource because of its positive treatment of Africans.
