高等教育理论呼唤高等教育史研究

高等教育史是高等教育学科领域的组成部分,是高等教育学的分支学科,更准确地说,是高等教育学与历史学的交叉学科。2003年底出版的两部《外国高等教育史》,是近年来我国外国高等教育研究领域的重要突破。两本外国高等教育史专业著作的体例有各自不同的风格和特点,这为读者提供了更加广域的视角。随着高等教育史研究的逐步深入,该学科对丰富和完善高等教育学科具有积极意义,同时将对进一步推进高等教育理论发展发挥重要作用。     

素质教育：现代大学功能的核心

现代大学要培养的并不只是专业技术人员,而应是具有健全人格,全面发展的高素质人才,为此,现代大学的功能必须重新定位,素质教育应成为现代大学功能的核心,并对素质教育在大学教育中占核心地位的原因,必要性及改革方向作了论述。

高等教育满意度调查研究

从大学教学与大学教育满意度、大学科学研究素养培养与大学教育满意度、大学管理与大学教育满意度、大学氛围与大学教育满意度、硬件设施与大学教育满意度5个维度进行了探索。通过对全国各地高等院校的本科生进行问卷调查,将样本数据进行计量分析,从而得出相关结论及政策建议。     

The Politics of Higher Education:

This article uses the parallel political marketplace conceptualization to analyze the political environment in which colleges and universities operate. How the marketing decisions of the college or university as a political actor can be affected by the political activities of citizen/consumer groups is addressed. Other political actors such as advocacy organizations are considered as are the flows of favors and threats in a political system. The political roles that can be served by marketing are identifies and cooperation between marketing and public affairs for the achievement of a college or university's legislative and regulatory goals is discussed.     

The Effects of Vouchers in Higher Education: An Italian Case Study

The aim of this article is to analyse the effect of introducing voucher schemes in higher education context. In the first part, the main economic characteristics of educational vouchers are discussed, in order to identify their expected effects on efficiency and equity in tertiary education. The second part contains the results of a case study that documents the experience gained at the University of Bologna between 2003/04 and 2005/06. The results suggest that the main effects of vouchers are on (1) the effectiveness of public support, and (2) course prices (fees).

柔性教育是以满足科技与经济社会发展不断变化的客观要求和培养学生未来适应能力为宗旨的教育，本文对柔性教育的产生发展进行了系统的分析，总结归纳了柔性教育的主要内容，基本特点，并指出它对我国高等教育的启示。     

Adult-Centered Practices: Benchmarking Study in Higher Education

Adult student enrollment in higher education is approaching 50%, yet most college and university practices have been designed for younger, traditional age students. This study used an innovative benchmarking research methodology, including surveys and site visits, to identify best practices at selected adult-centered institutions. The findings were distilled into one overarching theme and thirteen related themes. The overarching theme, Adult learner centered institutions have a culture in which flexibility, individuation, and adult-centered learning drive institutional practice reflects the pervasive student-centeredness of the colleges. The thirteen findings and examples of practices from the colleges that were studied can serve as guideposts to colleges and universities seeking to meet the needs of adult students.     

高等学校分类的历史与比较研究

我国目前还没有科学的高校分类标准,美、日、英、德等国在高校分类方面的做法为我国高等学校分类提供了可参照和借鉴的经验。本文认为我们可借鉴国外经验,结合我国实际,在确立分类维度时以高校职能为导向建立分类的预设指标;考虑资源支持和办学条件方面的指标;考虑高校的社会影响及被社会所认可程度方面的指标,从而形成符合我国国情的高等学校分类的思路与方法。
