一、初见陈学昭 那是十年动乱结束以后,<上海文学>(当时称<上海文艺>)刚复刊半年,我第一次外出组稿,去了杭州,看望老作家陈学昭. 那时,陈学昭还没有彻底平反.她唯一的女儿陈亚男,还在浙大校办工厂当杂务工.母女俩相依为命,住在杭大宿舍的危楼上.我们踩着吱嘎作响的楼梯,走进她们的木板房,见到的是两张木板床,一张油漆剥落的书桌,几只木凳.室内无一长物.我心头不禁涌上一缕凄惶寒意.这就是五四时期女作家,我国第一代法国文学博士的家么?

中国图书馆学会《图书馆服务宣言》起草工作经过了16个月的讨论,是一部集中中国图书馆人集体智慧的文件。《图书馆服务宣言》主要体现来自于国际组织文件、我国政府文件与我国图书馆宣言类文件的现代图书馆理念。虽然界内对一些重要理念仍存在分歧,但图书馆理论与事业的进步使中国图书馆人有自信宣示图书馆服务的行业承诺。     

Promise,Perils, and Planning

Summary

The promising future of new and better information services supported by the use of information technologies is well documented. Many journal articles describe successful experiences with better reference and instructional services, new services to new kinds of students who are engaged in distant independent learning or other non-traditional education, and better communication with library users. However, there are many perils on the way to delivering such improvements with the use of new finding tools, new software, new printing systems, and new telecommunication networks. An administrative overview of the sorts of planning which can smooth the implementation of information technology-based reference and instructional services outlines options for staffing, troubleshooting, fund raising, and budget development. Planning takes time and effort, collaboration and creativity. With appropriate emphasis on planning, the promise of implementing improvements in quality of services through information technologies can and should become a reality.     

The Promise of the Transparency Culture

In 2013, with the introduction of the Transparency Law in Spain, a number of Spanish newsrooms started working with data journalism methods. In Sweden, which has one of the oldest Freedom of Information acts in the world, newsrooms invested in the skill development of data journalism at approximately the same time. Because previous research suggests that access to public data has been one of the key driving forces for the development of data journalism worldwide, it is important to understand how legislation is actually shaping the practice of data journalism. Based on a survey of 66 key informants in Spain and Sweden and ten in-depth interviews with data journalists from five media companies in each country, we conducted a comparative study, building on the frameworks of media systems to explore data journalism practices in these two countries. The differences found indicate that the national and EU legislation in both nations shape journalistic strategies for accessing data, turning journalists at times into activists fighting for the right to access public data. Beyond the law, data journalists advocate for a transparency culture among the civil servants, in order to secure public accountability.
