He is unmistakably one of the most astounding martial arts performers in the movie business, in the prestigious company of Jackie Chan and Michelle Yeoh.Born on April 26, 1963 in Beijing, China, as the youngest of five siblings, he was enrolled into Beijing Amateur Sports School at the tender age of eight. His exceptional talent was cultivated under the tutelage of Wu Bin, a martial arts coach in the school. After a short span of three years in the school, he won the Chinese Men's All Around National Martial Arts Championship and was able to retain his title for five consecutive years, As China's leading sports hero, he was granted the honour of representing China between 1974 and 1979 in martial arts demonstrations in over 40 countries, including one before United States President Richard Nixon in 1974.
