语码转换是语言接触中一种常见的现象。网络语言作为一种随着互联网迅速发展而兴起的独具特色的语言现象,其中存在着大量的语码转换现象。通过回顾语码转换的定义和对网络语言的简介,浅析了网络语言中常见语码转换的结构类型,并从顺应论的角度解释了网络语言语码转换是交际者选择的产物,是对语言现实、社会规约和心理动机的顺应。

Comparing paper-based and electronic multiple-choice examinations with personal devices: Impact on students' performance,self-efficacy and satisfaction

Nowadays the size of university classes along with the growing number of students to be tested for final examination raise unprecedented challenges relating to the management, monitoring and evaluation of learning. Technology may provide some solutions that deserve to be investigated. This paper explores the potentialities and limitations of Computer-Based Testing (CBT), specifically BYOD e-test, compared to traditional Paper-Based Testing (PBT) to verify whether, and to what extent, an electronic mode of assessment can become a suitable alternative to PBT. It is based on a study carried out at the University of Florence during 2016/17. 606 students participated in the study, of whom 443 opted for CBT using their own devices, while 163 preferred PBT. Participants who experienced CBT also answered a survey on perceptions, self-efficacy and satisfaction. The results show that students' performances were better with CBT, and that a positive relationship exists between the perceived level of self-efficacy and the propensity to adopt digital tests. In addition, students greatly appreciated the electronic system, especially for the possibility of immediate feedback. Some critical issues emerged relating to on-screen reading, which suggests the need for careful design of testing tools.

It attempts to argue for and exemplify important procedures which distinguish good and bad thinking in a critical mode. And it argues the case for the separate teaching of critical thinking (henceforth CT).     

Answering reading Comprehension Items Without Passages on the SAT-I,the ACT,and the GRE

Performance on the reading comprehension (RC) tasks of the Scholastic Assessment Test-I (SAT-I or the "new" SAT), the Enhanced American College Testing Assessment (ACT), and the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) when passages were missing was examined. For the SAT-I and ACT, scores were well above chance and correlated substantially with verbal score on the earlier version of the SAT, indicating that examinees perform similarly with or without passages. Comparable but weaker results were found for the GRE. The findings raise doubts about the construct validity of the RC task. We argue that performance is influenced by the plausibility of item choices with or without the passages and that this, in turn, is the result of the construction of test items with little knowledge of the underlying reading process.

Code of Fair Testing Practices in Education (Revised)

A note from the Working Group of the Joint Committee on Testing Practices:
The Code of Fair Testing Practices in Education (Code) prepared by the Joint Committee on Testing Practices (JCTP) has just been revised for the first time since its initial introduction in 1988.
The revision of the Code was inspired primarily by the revision of the Standards for Educational and Psychological Testing (AERA, APA, NCME, 1999) and recent changes in testing practices in a variety of professions.
The revised Code (JCTP, 2004) has been endorsed by all seven member associations of the Joint Committee, which includes representatives of the National Council on Measurement in Education, as well as the American Counseling Association, American Educational Research Association, American Psychological Association, American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, National Association of School Psychologists, and National Association of Test Directors. The mission of the JCTP is to provide "a means by which professional organizations and test publishers can work together to improve the use of tests in assessment and appraisal."
The revised Code is likely to continue having a major impact on the development and use of testing and assessment in education. It is presented in this issue of Educational Measurement: Issues and Practice and may be reproduced in whole or in part without fees or permission, provided that any reproduction includes appropriate citation. Calculator-Available Assessments: The Why,What, and How

In the Curriculum and Evaluation Standards for School Mathematics, the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (1989) advocated that "appropriate calculators should be available to all students at all times" (p. 8) and that calculators (or any instructional tool) should be allowed in the assessment of those students. In response, large-scale assessments such as the National Assessment of Educational Progress, Scholastic Achievement Test, American College Testing, Advanced Placement, and a variety of state-mandated tests moved to incorporate the allowance of calculator technologies in the assessment scheme. Although rhetoric and large-scale assessments have embraced the allowance of technology, classroom teachers may have difficulty developing their own assessments that permit calculator use. This article discusses the factors involved in h e design and implementation of calculator-available assessments. In particular, four issues associated with calculator-available assessments are examined. (a) the benefits and problems associated with calculator use in assessment, (b) the components of various types of calculator-available assessments, (c) the construction of calculator-available assessments, and (d) the need for additional examination of items included on calculator-available assessments. From this examination, teachers and test developers are provided with a set of recommendations that focus on developing calculator-available assessments and minimizing difficulties arising at the item 1evel.
