LI SHENGHONG： DEDICATED TO CALLIGRAPHIC ART

Li Shenghong is currently the executive vice director of Chinese Calligraphy Institute under China Art Academy and has a f professional title as the state first-grade artist. He is particularly versed in cursive writing. Li＇s calligraphic works and critic essays have been published in ＂Selected Works of Chinese Calligraphy＂ and such professional publications as ＂Chinese Calligraphy＂,     

YAO DIXIONG： SOUL MATE TO HORSE

Though the outstanding Australian Chinese artist Yao Dixiong won a world fame with his painting work ＂2000 Kangaroo＂ which＇s 63 meters longand the creation, 100 meter-long ＂Human and Nature - Soul of Australia＂, he continued to realize his artistic dream of being a distinguished horse-painter.

1972年举办的《图坦卡蒙宝藏展》是大英博物馆历史上吸引观众人数最多的展览,达到165万人次;排名第二的则是2007年该馆举办的以中国为主题的大规模特展——《秦始皇兵马俑展》,参观人数多达85万人次。时隔7年,大英博物馆于今年9月再次推出以中国为主题的大规模特展：《明：盛世皇朝50年》展览。该展将通过一系列精美绝伦的物品,包括瓷器、黄金、珠宝、家具、绘画、雕塑以及纺织品,展现中国历史上的黄金盛世。为何选择这一主题？策展人和博物馆希望观众通过该展览产生哪些新的认识？明星展品有哪些？筹备展览期间又有哪些挑战和收获？带着这样的问题,我们独家专访大英博物馆亚洲部主任司美茵（Jan Smart）女士、该展览两位策展人之一霍吉淑（Jessica Harrison—Hall）女士,探寻展览背后的故事。     

ARCHITECTURAL ART CLOSER TO LIFE：A glimpse into the Second Architectural Biennial Beijing

On 26 September, 2006, the 2nd Architectural Biennial Beijing （ABB）, an 11-day event co-approved by the Ministry of Construction and the Ministry of Culture, opened in the National Museum of China. During the biennial, such diverse events were presented as exhibitions, forums, competitions and publication releases.
