＂ China in London 2008＂ Brings China and UK Closer

On February 6, 2008, the eve of the Chinese Year of Rat, Chinese red lanterns ignited major shopping streets of London. For the third year running, the ＂China in London＂ season was officially launched with grand parades. This spectacular event, aiming to showcase China＇s fascinating history and culture and strengthen ties between China and UK, has attracted a huge number of local residents and many prestigious institutions like the British Museum and the Royal Opera House.

Paris Echoes with Chinese Tunes：＂Melody of Spring＂ concert series held in China Culture Center

＂Melody of Spring＂ concert series, an annual music event launched by China Culture Center in Paris （CCC） four years ago, took place from April 12 to 14 in CCC＇s auditorium. More than two hundred French audiences attended the three-day concerts, including students in CCC＇s training programs as well as distinguished guests like Eurostat Director General, Bourbon Prince, Mayor of Boulogne and their wives.

Art Exchange Promotes Bilateral Friendship—— 2006 China Culture Festival held in Tokyo, Japan

2006 China Culture Festival, co-organized by Chinese Cultural Ministry and Chinese Embassy in Japan, opened on November 17, 2006 in the Santory Hall in Tokyo, Japan. Her Highness Princess Takamato, former prime ministers Nakasone Yasuhiro, Kaifu Toshiki, Murayama Toichi and Hata Tsutomu, House of Representatives Speaker Yohei Kono, House of Councilors President Oogi Chikage, Chief Cabinet Secretary Yasuhisa Shiozaki, Land, Infrastructure and Transport Minister Tetsuzo Fuyushiba as well as some 2000 distinguished guests from various circles attended the opening ceremony.
