Communicative Competence and Language Teaching

A meeting took place on the topic "Communicative Competence and Language Teaching" on October 16, 17, and 18 on the island of San Giorgio in Venice in the meeting halls of the CINI Foundation [Fondazione Vittorio Cini]. This meeting, organized by Lingua e Nuova Didattica with the collaboration of the British Council of Rome, the Bureau Pédagogique of Rome, and the Cultural Center of Milan, saw the absolutely unexpected participation of about 1,500 teachers and twenty or so English, French, and Italian speakers.

交际法(CLT)悖论

本文针对交际法在中国所产生的效果不甚理想这一事实,通过对BANA和TESEP背景下的英语教学特点和BANA背景与我国的社会文化背景、教学文化背景以及语言文化背景进行分析比较,借用Prabhu的最佳教学法观点和Cook对交际法的批判观点,多角度地对交际法进行分析,指出交际法在很大程度上不适宜我国的社会文化背景、教育文化背景和语言文化背景。对交际法的推广应建立在理解的基础之上,切忌盲从。文章还指出要对我国的教育文化背景进行改造,要创造条件,扬交际法所长,以实现对学习者交际能力的培养。     

航海雷达教学之我见

总结了航海雷达教学改革的具体措施。包括改革教学内容、方法，规范实验教学，改革考试方法，其目的在于强化工程创新能力和学生动手能力的培养。

Communicative Approach to English Language Teaching

As China develops and is more frequently in contact with foreign countries, people have come to realize that traditional English teaching method can no longer meet the needs of development Since 1970s, the communicative approach has been paid much attention and widely employed in foreign language teaching. This article gives an account of the definition of communicative approach and the application of it in ELT.
