继续教育的发展历史,也是继续教育范畴变迁的历史。当前继续教育的范畴引发了诸多问题,如学历教育双轨制问题、继续教育体制机制问题等。从应然性视角,有必要重新界定继续教育范畴,让学历继续教育回归学校学历教育,将继续教育范畴专门定位于非学历继续教育。采取继续教育新范畴,能够促进继续教育办学、管理、研究的专业化,能够厘清继续教育与学校教育之间的关系,促进终身教育体系的建构,并有利于继续教育学科的建立。
