论高职院校精品视频公开课建设与改革——以《连锁门店运营管理》课程为例

我国的教育不断采用现代信息技术手段开发优质资源共享课程,而视频公开课将成为实现优质资源共享的重要手段。本文主要以连锁门店运营管理课程为研究对象,探讨高职院校在制定精品视频公开课存在的主要问题,分析课程在建设过程中存在问题的原因,并针对存在问题提出解决的建议和措施。

介绍了南安普敦大学航空航天与空间系统工程本科生培养方案,包括其培养目标与培养要求、课程体系设置和核心课程的主要内容。结合CDIO理念分析,总结了其主要特色,即明确的工程教育目标、注重多种能力培养、紧密围绕专业设置课程模块、采用"积木"式教学方式、强调团队协作、重视工程管理等,对国内高校工科教育特别是航空航天类专业的教学改革具有很好的参考价值。     

Student loans in financing higher education in India

Confronted with declining public budgets for education on the one hand, and the need for more resources on the other, many developing countries such as India, have been examining alternative methods of financing higher education. One such mechanism is student loans. A student loan programme is not a new phenomenon in India. The National Loans Scholarship Scheme has been in operation since 1963. This article critically reviews the experience of implementation of the National Loan Scholarship scheme. It examines strengths and weaknesses and problems specific to this programme in India, with a view to identifying measures for marginal improvement in the programme. The conclusion is that at present student loans make little contribution to either the efficiency or equity of higher education in India.

Engineering Student Exchange Programmes—France,Germany and Spain with Britain

The paper describes the development and operation of joint study programme schemes, which lead to double awards. The essential prerequisites for an exchange programme are identified together with an evaluation of academic standards and teaching methods in each country. The process of obtaining equivalence and credit recognition between courses is presented, together with specific data relating to requirements for double awards. The experience gained in these exchange programmes is discussed and student performance is evaluated.     

DEVELOPMENT AND FORMS OF INTERNATIONAL CO‐OPERATION IN HIGHER EDUCATION IN THE USSR

In Soviet higher education, the policy of international contact constitutes an important element throughout the State programme of international co‐operation. The following article presents the main forms of and recent developments in this co‐operation. It is based on an article written by N.N. Sofinski, Deputy Minister of Higher and Specialized Secondary Education in the USSR.     

THE PRESENT CONTEXT OF EUROPEAN ACADEMIC EXCHANGE: THE CONTRIBUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF EUROPE TO EUROPEAN CO‐OPERATION IN THE DOMAIN OF HIGHER EDUCATION AND RESEARCH

This article outlines the activities of the Council of Europe in favour of inter‐university co‐operation and exchange. First, the role and tasks of the CC‐PU and then the work programme of the Council of Europe on higher education and research are examined. With regard to academic mobility and European inter‐university co‐operation, the Transfrontier Regional University Co‐operation Programme, the European Postgraduate Training Programme, and the Inter‐university Co‐operation Programme between Europe and Latin America are described. Finally, both the European Networks for Scientific and Technical Co‐operation and the Open Partial Agreement on the Prevention of, Protection Against, and Organisation of Relief in Major Natural and Technological Disasters and their constituent activities are evoked.

Training for lifestyle entrepreneurs

Many developed countries have issues with the movement of populations away from rural areas. There has been an active move towards ‘value adding’ in rural areas, and in particular, the development of tourism activities, to counter this trend. The purpose of this paper is to document the curriculum development process that was engaged in, in the design, delivery and outcomes of a programme designed to encourage and equip rural entrepreneurs to extend into the tourism and hospitality industries. These entrepreneurs operate in Hedmark Region of Norway and the training took place in Brisbane, Australia. The development and delivery of the training programme took place in Norway and Australia. The methodology is qualitative and it is hoped the research will lead to a longitudinal study of the impact of lifestyle entrepreneurs on local economic development in rural areas. The action research process that was engaged in means that the entrepreneurs are active participants in the research, and the quality of their feedback and willingness to discuss their changed behaviour are critical to both evaluating the impact of the programme and the potential for further study on the economic impact of their activities. The development process and the nature of the curriculum used for these entrepreneurs may well provide insights into effective training for lifestyle entrepreneurs in other contexts. The participants were asked to evaluate the programme immediately on its conclusion and six months after the programme when they were interviewed in their place of operation.

The Roots of Personal Worth and the Wings of Self-responsibility: A research-based enquiry into a business—education mentoring programme

This article examines a business-education mentoring programme supported by Roots & Wings, an initiative run by Business in the Community (BitC), in order to identify key factors in its functioning. The programme supports employers in establishing voluntary mentoring schemes in which their employees mentor local school children; we use, as an exemplar, a national project run by BT's Personal Communication Division. The article develops an analysis relevant to the operation of such a business—education mentoring programme by adapting a theoretical framework (Forrest, 1992) for the analysis of strategic alliances between companies in the business community. Using the same stages (pre-alliance matching and negotiation/alliance agreement/alliance implementation) and adapting, or devising, relevant categories the article develops a multilevel (strategic/organisational/individual) analysis of the programme.

‘Shared Reading’: an experiment in peer tutoring in the primary classroom

A 12‐week peer tutoring reading programme named ‘Shared Reading’ was conducted with a class of SPA primary school children. Significant reading gains were shown by the class at the end of the experimental period when compared to a matched control group. The gains were not maintained when the children reverted back to individual silent reading. Before the programme the children had exhibited poor reading behaviours—whilst the class had a splintered social structure. During the programme the level of on‐task reading behaviours rose considerably and more positive social behaviours were noted in the class with more friendliness, cohesion and co‐operation between the children. The belief that the gains of the children informally acting as ‘tutors’ would be adversely affected by them helping their less able peers was not supported since the ‘tutors’ made more reading gain than the Hutees’. It is concluded that peer tutoring is an under‐used teaching strategy which, if used appropriately, can be a valuable and enjoyable one for teachers and pupils.     

International dimension in postgraduate education (aerospace engineering)

A consortium of seven universities and two polytechnics is developing an international postgraduate degree programme consisting of course modules and directed research to train effective leaders in aerospace engineering. The programme's initial funding is a jointly awarded grant from government funding agencies in both the USA and the EU (DGXX II, European Commission, Agreement No. 98-00-USA-0010-00, US Department of Education, DUNS No. 00-743-1505). The purpose of the Masters programme is to train effective leaders for aerospace engineering development, by developing both their professional capabilities and their understanding of the operation of global markets. Course content and management structure is currently under development. This programme comprises the formation of an International Master of Science (IMS) Degree Programme in Aerospace Engineering. Under the IMS programme, qualifying students at each participating university will assemble a personalized degree programme, choosing course and project modules from among the partner universities. Approximately one-third of each student's chosen modules will be taken in overseas institutions. The IMS Degree Programme will include both coursework and research project work in aerospace engineering. Students begin the exchange programme in the year 2000, and the first degrees will be conferred in the year 2001. The project was successfully introduced to the European Forum for continuing Engineering Education in 1999 (Smrcek and Horner 1999, The 4th European Forum for Continuing Engineering Education, Trondheim, Norway).

在高级语言程序设计中,自增和自减运算一直是较为复杂的运算。尤其当自增和自减出现次数较多时,对于不同的高级程序IDE（IntegratedDevelopment,集成开发环境）,同样的程序,结果却不尽相同。本文给出了对比运算结果,并详细分析了原因。     

仿真软件在数控技术课程教学中的应用

介绍了数控仿真软件在数控技术课程教学中的应用,利用它的三维仿真,等同于对真正的CNC机床的操作功能,解决了在数控技术课程教学中因数控设备昂贵与资金短缺而造成的数控实践教学效果不理想、效率较低的想象,提高了学生数控编程能力、数控机床的操作能力及系统的维护能力。     

课程改革--青岛扬帆起航

课程改革实验是国家当前基础教育的一项重要工作。它不仅仅是换一本教材,也不仅仅是一个方案的论证,更是一个探索、创造和建设的教育改革实践过程。在这个过程中,我们应该明确实验任务,科学规划实验进程;与此同时,为了新课程的顺利实施,我们还应该健全相关的运行机制,并加强课程改革队伍的建设。     

English-in-the-workplace for Garment Workers: A feminist project?

This article draws on a recent study of an English-in-the-workplace (EWP) programme currently in operation at three Canadian garment factories. The EWP programme offers formal instruction in English during the workday to a labour force comprised mainly of immigrant women employed as sewing machine operators. Among other things, results from the study suggest that newly acquired English skills may be reinforcing linguistic behaviour that reconstitutes traditional relations between workers and management, men and women. The article highlights a possible connection between workers' linguistic behaviour and the pedagogical practices evident in the EWP classes. We suggest that an exclusive and/or particular emphasis on the 'personal' in the form and content of lessons, taken up as it is in the EWP classes is problematic and may not ultimately work in the best interests of women workers. We look to the development of more critical EWP programmes.
