Compared to boys, many girls are more aware of a social context in the learning process and perform better when the environment supports frequent interactions and social relationships. For these girls, embodied agents (animated on-screen characters acting as tutors) could afford simulated social interactions in computer-based learning and thereby supply a girl-friendly instructional context. This study examined the effects of the age and gender of an agent on ninth-grade Caucasian and ethnic-minority girls' perceptions of the agent, mathematics attitudes, and learning in a computer-based algebra-learning environment. In general, the findings support that a virtual agent plays both social and instructional roles that favor teenage girls and could be a viable tool to create a favorable context for girls learning challenging topics. 相似文献

This paper addresses a relatively new phenomenon in higher education, Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), and explores conceptions around this new and emerging development from the perspective of a number of stakeholders in the university. A phenomenographic approach is adopted. The study explores how different stakeholders at a university perceive the MOOC phenomenon, and reflects on how the many conceptions stakeholders adhere to are made meaningful for academic developers in their role as ‘partners in arms’. Automated collaborative filtering has become a popular technique for reducing information overload. We have developed a new method for recommending items using multiple agents. The agents were established by employing the fuzzy C-means clustering technique. We employ these agents collaborating each other to get recommendation for users. The results were evaluated by using MovieLens movie's rating data. It is shown that the algorithm is an effective metrics in collaborative filtering. 相似文献

This study was designed to examine the effects of the competency (low vs. high) and interaction type (proactive vs. responsive)
of pedagogical agents as learning companions (PALs) on learning, self-efficacy, and attitudes. Participants were 72 undergraduates
in an introductory computer-literacy course who were randomly assigned to one of four treatments: Low-Proactive, Low-Responsive,
High-Proactive, and High-Responsive. Results indicated a main effect for PAL competency. Students who worked with the high-competency
PAL in both proactive and responsive conditions achieved higher scores in applying what they had learned and showed more positive
attitudes toward the PAL. However, students who worked with the low-competency PAL reported significantly enhanced self-efficacy
beliefs in the learning tasks. Also, there was a main effect far PAL interaction type. A proactive PAL had a significantly
positive impact on recall. These different results on learning and motivational outcomes suggest that the competency and interaction
type of a PAL should be designed according to the desired learning and motivational goals. 相似文献

目的了解黄冈职院附属医院抗菌药物的使用情况,为规范医院使用抗菌药物提供依据。方法收集附属医院近三年来抗菌药物的用药品种、销售金额、使用频率,日均消费进行统计和分析。结果抗菌药物用药品种、金额、频率、日均消费、剂型较为规范,但国家基本药物抗菌药物品种的应用在逐年下降。结论附属医院对抗菌药物的临床应用基本合理,但是对国家基本药物应用的逐年下降趋势,应引起重视,及时调整。 相似文献
