The purpose of this article is to reflect on the instruction in a teacher education science content course that applied the theories that underlie cognitive constructivism. The methods used aimed to develop positive dispositions toward teaching practices that encourage exploration, collaboration, and individual student responsibility. Nurturing a love of science and an excitement towards learning through discovery were also goals. The theories spanned intersubjectivity and scaffolding from Vygotsky, individual responsibility for learning, and assimilation and accommodation of ideas to allow for individual construction of knowledge from Piaget. Project work, suggested by Katz and Chard, was also included, as were application of the experiential social construction of knowledge theories of Dewey and multiple intelligences from Gardner. Modeling the application of the theories behind cognitive constructivism fostered students’understanding of their appropriate use in elementary classrooms. 相似文献

本文首先分析了目前国内外化工高等教育遇到的问题和挑战,提出应当从化学工程学科理念创新的角度来认识化工并引领学生了解、热爱和献身化工。进而回顾了化学工程学科范式和内容的演进,讨论了当前化工学科发展面临的机遇和重要前沿问题,着重分析了目前化工高等教育在课程设置、教学模式和师资队伍方面存在的问题并提出了解决建议,特别是如何通过课程创新来启发学生发现问题的能力和以多学科交叉的方式解决问题的能力。 相似文献

选择性教师教育是美国非传统教师教育方式的统称。它自20世纪80年代产生以来,以鲜明的特点弥补了美国传统教师教育的不足,为美国缓解教师数量的短缺和满足教师队伍多样化的需求做出了一定贡献。但是,它也面临一系列问题,突出表现在:计划的开发和实施仍局限在教师急需领域,培养的质量也不容乐观,中小学对教师候选人的实践支持并不到位,留任安置也不尽合理,并且整个培养模式对美国正在倡导的教师专业化理念构成挑战。它今后的发展状况,从根本上说,取决于是否能够有效解决目前所面临的问题。 相似文献

The article reviews the general context of the situation that has arisen in Russian education after the new provisions of the Federal Law of 29 December 2012 “On Education in the Russian Federation” went into effect. The law has been enacted in response to the need to develop a new concept of teacher education. Currently, about 270 institutions of higher education, about 30 percent of Russian universities, are implementing programs in the field of teacher education, and the proportion is growing. 整合新方法与技术的远程教育已经成为当前世界各国解决教师紧缺问题、推进教师教育系统变革的重要手段.本文从我国教师教育面临的挑战与相关远程教育实践问题入手,结合远程教育的本质与特征分析,借鉴国际经验,对远程教育给教师教育带来的机遇与挑战进行定义与讨论.文章指出:远程教育能够为我国低成本、大规模地培养合格教师带来机会,促进教师教育在培养模式等方面的创新,并推进我国教师终身学习体系的构建;而远程教育的成功应用需要应对认识与观念等五方面的挑战.本研究以期能为相关研究与实践提供参考. 相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to discuss the problems of teacher education in Turkey and also to elaborate on the issues in the teacher education debate that we think are problematic. Our main focus will be on western influence and its consequences in building a relevant teacher education programme in Turkey. The irrelevancy between teacher education programmes and the realities of Turkish schools and the demand for a relevant theoretical base for teacher education were linked to western influence on the knowledge base and research traditions. The arguments in this paper were based on available literature and the authors' personal experiences in teacher education institutions.
