决策树分类算法是数据挖掘中一个重要的内容,而ID3算法又是决策树分类算法中的一种重要方法且被广泛应用。然而在实际应用过程中,现存的决策树算法也存在着很多不足之处,如计算效率低下、多值偏向等。为了解决这些问题,提出了一种基于ID3算法的加权简化信息熵算法,它提高了决策树的构建速度,减少了算法的计算运行时间,同时也克服了ID3算法往往偏向于选择取值较多的属性作为测试属性的缺陷。并且随着数据规模的增大,决策树的分类性能表现得越好。  相似文献

A telephone survey was administered to residents of a historically conservative southern state to assess resident's level of support for comprehensive sexuality education (CSE) in schools and support for the availability of condoms and contraception to reduce unintended pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections. Data were obtained from 841 residents and findings revealed that the majority of residents: (a) support CSE, (b) support access to birth control, and (c) support the availability of condoms. Data were analyzed to determine characteristics of those in support of these prevention strategies so that data could inform key stakeholders, policy makers and health promotion strategies.  相似文献

Using a mixed methods, multilevel research design, this pilot inquiry explored the relationship between college faculty professional development and the academic achievement of diverse students by coupling two separate links: (a) the effects that professional development activities have on improving teaching strategies, and (b) the effects these teaching strategies have on student learning. Data were collected from administrators, faculty, and students to discover what teaching strategies are being used and, in their view, how these strategies affect learning outcomes. Data sources included a survey, documents, interviews, and observations. The case study institution is a New Mexico community college, and the research focuses on two academic programs with 145 students enrolled. Data analyses revealed three main themes: (a) faculty development and its link to teacher effectiveness and student learning outcomes are embedded in the mission, goals, and policies of the institution; (b) faculty development is considered vital, funding is always available, and faculty participate in on- and off-campus development activities to enhance their teaching effectiveness and student learning outcomes; and (c) the institution focused on collecting and analyzing student learning outcomes data, but no data-driven means for assessing the effectiveness of faculty development activities existed.  相似文献

This study proposes a model for determining preservice teachers’ intentions to use information and communication technology (ICT) in future lessons. Data were collected from 21 preservice teachers via interview in the first stage of the study and from 2904 preservice teachers from 16 different universities via a designed scale in the second stage of the study. Data were analyzed through structural equation modeling. A model capable of explaining 85% of variance in preservice teachers’ intentions to use ICT in their future lessons was developed. Perceived usefulness (PU) was seen to have the highest influence on their intentions, while facilitating conditions, social influence, and anxiety had a low direct effect. In addition, these factors were found to have a high indirect influence on intention through other factors such as PU, perceived ease-of-use, and efficacy.
