“慰安妇”称呼的内涵及历史演进

“慰安妇”是日军推行的性奴隶制度的受害者,她们是被日军蒙蔽、欺骗乃至强征的性奴隶。这些性奴隶并非自始至终都被称为“慰安妇”。除了“慰安妇”这一称呼外,她们还经历了“P”“卖淫妇”等蔑称以及“妻子”“大和抚子”等敬称,体现了性奴隶“配给”制度下受害女性在日军心中的复杂定位。战后,“从军慰安妇”一词拉开了声讨“慰安妇”制度的序幕,“性奴隶”则恰当地阐释了“慰安妇”的本质,也使越来越多的人了解“慰安妇”制度的罪恶和日本政府不承认历史甚至歪曲历史的用心。     

中韩“慰安妇”历史观之比较

"慰安妇"制度是第二次世界大战期间日本主导的一项侵犯女性权益的制度,有组织的国家犯罪行为。中国和朝鲜半岛的女性是其主要受害者,受害人数多、时间长。中国和韩国在"慰安妇"历史观上有很多相似之处,又存在着明显的差异。本文对中韩"慰安妇"历史观进行分析,并在此基础上讨论"慰安妇"问题和国家形象的关系。

A Little Comfort for the Theoretically Distressed: A Follow-Up to Burleson et al.'s Response

This research note describes four student myths about the importance of taking a marital and family communication course. Second, the assessment of student beliefs about marriage were examined using Larson's (1988) Marriage Quiz. Results revealed individual differences in endorsing myths as a function of gender, age, religious denomination, and previous exposure to courses in interpersonal communication. The findings indicate that courses in marital communication can debunk selected stereotypes about marriage.     

MEDLARS II: a review

The MEDLARS II effort, as it was developed until June 1971, is reviewed in terms of the overall planning process. How MEDLARS I was approached by NLM is discussed first and its objectives used for comparison. Certain technical, managerial, and intellectual aspects are outlined as types of problems encountered in designing MEDLARS II. While improvement upon the MEDLARS I seemed to be the main reason for planning a MEDLARS II, objectives became blurred and divergent as the project went along. The complexities of creating a central computerized data base of health sciences bibliographic information and library functional activities for nationwide use were underappreciated and remain a challenge to NLM.     

Jury Instructions: A Bibliography Part II:

Pattern jury instructions are used by trial judges to explain the law to jurors in language that they can understand and that provide consistency from one trial to another. This criminal jury instructions bibliography of 169 entries is a companion to a previous bibliography on civil jury instructions. An index to acronyms for both criminal and civil jury instructions is also included.     

Fashion in the classroom II: Instructor immediacy and attire

Results of a 2 (immediacy conditions) X 3 (attire conditions) experimental study indicated lesser effects of attire on person perceptions when studied in a live interaction context as opposed to responses to photographs, as has been typical in previous studies. Influence of attire was largely limited to ratings of instructor extroversion, while immediacy influenced perceptions of extroversion, composure, character, competence, homophily, and learning. There was no statistically significant interaction between attire and immediacy; i.e., there was no indication that strategic choice of attire bolsters student ratings of non‐immediate instructors, or that “non professional” attire hurts judgements of immediate instructors.
