The language is a play of signs. However, behind the signs is the culture manipulates the signs. To overcome the default of single search tendency, the ants in the colony are divided into several sub-groups. The ants in different subgroups have different trail information and expectation coefficients. The simulated annealing method is introduced to the algorithm. Through setting the temperature changing with the iterations, after each turn of tours, the solution set obtained by the ants is taken as the candidate set. The update set is obtained by adding the solutions in the candidate set to the previous update set with the probability determined by the temperature. The solutions in the candidate set are used to update the trail information. In each turn of updating, the current best solution is also used to enhance the trail information on the current best route. The trail information is reset when the algorithm is in stagnation state. The computer experiments demonstrate that the proposed algorithm has higher stability and convergence speed.

Measurement of moment of inertia based on hilbert transform

A measurement model based on torsion pendulum was established,in which nonlinear damping and nonlinear restoring force were considered.The calculation method of the moment of inertia was based on Hilbert transform.The motion of torsion pendulum showed the time-frequency characteristics due to the nonlinear factors,which were validated by the experimental data.The analytical signal was formed by Hilbert transform of the angular displacement signal of the test object.The moment of inertia can be computed by the instantaneous undamped natural frequency with Hilbert transform.Prior to the implementation of Hilbert transform,the empirical mode decomposition was used to filter the experimental signal.The moment of inertia of the test object was measured by the torsion pendulum system.The experimental results show that the relative measurement error of the moment of inertia was within 0.7%,which indicated the validity of the measurement method.     

Preparation of Glutaraldehyde Cross-Linked Chitosan Beads Under Microwave Irradiation and Properties of Urease Immobilized onto the Beads

The glutaraldehyde cross-linked chitosan beads were prepared under microwave irradiation and urease was immobilized onto the beads. The activity and the yield of enzyme activity of the immobilized urease were 10.83 U/g carrier and 47.7%, respectively. The optimum conditions of immobilization were 1% of glutaraldehyde volume fraction, 10 mg/g of urease/beads weight ratio, 24 h of the processing time and pH 6.5 of the reaction medium for immobilization. The properties of the immobilized urease were investigated and compared with those of the free enzyme. The optimum pH values were 6.5 and 7.0 for the immobilized and free urease, respectively. The optimum temperature was 60℃ for the free urease, while it shifted to 65 ℃ for the immobilized enzyme. The Michaelis constant Kr, was 9.1 mmol/L for the immobilized and 12.5 mmol/L for the free urease. The immobilized urease retained 40% of its initial enzyme activity even after 10 repeated uses. The immobilized urease stored at 4 ℃ retained 46% of its initial activity even after 35 d.

Tool selection and collision-free in 5-axis numerical control machining of free-form surfaces

The methodology of 5-axis cutter selection to avert collision for free-form surface machining by flat-end cutters is presented.The combination of different cutters is adopt aiming at short machining time and high precision.The optimal small cutter is determined based on the geometric information of the points where a cutter most probably collide with the machined surface.Several larger cutters are slected to machine the surface in order to find the interference-free area.The difference of machining time for this area between the optimal small cutter and the large cutters is calculated.The functional relationship between the machining time and the radius of a cutter is established,by which the optimal number of cutters is obtained.The combination of cutters,which possesses the minimum overall machining time,is selected as the optimal cutter sizes.A case study has demonstrated the validity of the proposed methodology and algorithms.

Response of Box-Type Structures Under Internal-Blast Loading

The tests of box-type structures under internal-blast loading are carried out. Then a numerical analysis of the test structures is done using a fully coupled numerical finite element model. The break-up process of the structure is simulated. The failure modes of the simulated structure agree well with the experimental results.
