网站质量,用户感知及技术采纳行为的实证研究

本文以个体消费者为研究对象,从电子商务网站质量出发,结合用户的感知因素,在理论分析框架的基础上,构建了面向电子商务网站的技术采纳行为模型并提出了相应的研究假设.通过调查问卷收集样本,利用spss 软件对问卷进行了信度效度分析,采用结构方程模型软件Lisrel 对研究假设进行了检验.实证结果显示,网站质量的三个维度是影响用户的感知有用性和感知易用性的重要因素;感知娱乐对态度的影响是显著的;信任对态度和行为意向存在直接影响,而感知风险通过信任对态度和行为意向存在间接影响.

Metadata Quality Control in Digital Repositories and Collections: Criteria,Semantics, and Mechanisms

This article evaluates practices on metadata quality control in digital repositories and collections using an online survey of cataloging and metadata professionals in the United States. The study examines (1) the perceived importance of metadata quality, (2) metadata quality evaluation criteria and issues, and (3) mechanisms for building quality assurance into the metadata creation process. The survey finds wide recognition of the essential role of metadata quality assurance. Accuracy and consistency are prioritized as the main criteria for metadata quality evaluation. Metadata semantics greatly affects consistent and accurate metadata application. Strong awareness of metadata quality correlates with the widespread adoption of various quality control mechanisms, such as staff training, manual review, metadata guidelines, and metadata generation tools. And yet, metadata guidelines are used less frequently as a quality assurance mechanism in digital collections involving multiple institutions.

Interpersonal coordination in interactions: Evaluations and social skills

Interactional synchrony and behavior matching is a fundamental, and often taken for granted, aspect of communicative situations. The level of interpersonal coordination exhibited during an interaction can vary depending on who is talking to whom. However, little empirical attention has been devoted to determining how people interpret the degree of coordination during interactions and what skills are associated with interactants who are more or less “in‐sync”; with their interaction partners. Using a sample of conversations between members of the same and different cultures, this preliminary study examined how interpersonal coordination is evaluated and the relationship between interpersonal coordination and social skills. The findings suggest that interpersonal coordination is a desirable and positively evaluated characteristic of interactions. The results further indicate that more socially skilled communicators can help facilitate interpersonal coordination in interactions.

Patron-Initiated Purchasing: Evaluating Criteria and Workflows

The University of Mississippi Libraries began a patron-initiated purchasing program in 2009. After a successful year of purchasing, the authors evaluated both the criteria and workflows. The process included sharing results with subject librarians and the Collection Development Steering Committee. As a result, changes were made to both the criteria and the workflows.

Efficient Website Development Strategies for the Nonspecialist Website Administrator Using Dreamweaver and SSI

One scenario in Website development using practical strategies for the Website administrator who is a nonspecialist is presented. Solid design planning that incorporates simply executed methods robust enough to achieve maintenance efficiency is described with practical examples for libraries facing technical and budgetary limitations. Simple yet powerful complementary Web tools and techniques using Adobe Dreamweaver's Templates and Library Items along with Server Side Include (SSI) statements are explored from start to finish.     

Irony and Language Expectancy Theory: Evaluations of Expectancy Violation Outcomes

Language expectancy theory (LET) provides the basis for a study of the relationship of ironic and literal messages in terms of persuasiveness and expectedness. The experimental design was a 2 (literal vs. ironic) × 2 (compliment vs. criticism) factor design. The expectation was that literal messages would be more expected and criticisms less preferred to compliments. The results indicated that the ironic messages tended to be negative, unexpected, and attributed to the situation as opposed to the sender. Compliments were associated with fewer behavioral intentions than were criticisms. The interaction also revealed that the ironic messages were a safe middle ground between literal criticisms and compliments in terms of fostering behavioral changes.
