In order to celebrate the 1 st anniversary of the 2008 Beijing Olympics, an auction was recently held, with such valuable objects as the barbell kissed by Olympic gold medalist Zhang Xiangxlang, the world＇s large canvas used for the preparation of the Olympic opening ceremony, the Olympic torch with the autography of Samaranch as well as furniture and other gifts related to the Beijing Olympics. Over the past year after the conclusion of the 2008 summer Olympics, 25 auctions have been held, with more than 700,000 Olympic-related objects sold.

At the Poly Spring Auction, ＂Sketch Painting of Rare Birds＂ created by Emperor Huizong of the Northern Song Dynasty was sold for 55.10 million RMB yuan, it is known that Emperor Huizong＇s extant creations total less than 20 and this painting work is the most complete one among all the extant works, There are 21 seal imprints by Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty and 7 seal imprints by previous collectors.

Exhibition on Tibetan Art and Archaeology Attracts Tens of Thousands of Japanese Viewers On August 23, the Exhibition on Art and Archaeology of Tibet was successfully concluded in Nakkaido Museum, This exhibition displayed 120 pieces or sets of valuable objects from the collection of the Potala Palace, the Norbulingka （the Summer Palace）, Sakya Monastery and the Museum of the Summer Resort in Chengde.
