Training School Leaders in Sweden

The article analyses the identified needs of school leader training in Sweden against the background of declared aims and a general policy of decentralisation. Strategies designed to meet these needs are described, together with evaluative comments.

Dans le contexte d'une politique générale de décentralisation et en tenant compte des objectifs définis pour le système scolaire suédois, l'article analyse les besoins reconnus de la formation des responsables. Des stratégies prévues pour répondre à ces besoins sont décrites avec des remarques sur l'évolution.     

森林学校老师培养机制的建立

当前越来越多幼儿园和教育机构开始尝试森林学校这种模式,旨在让孩子重新回归大自然,促进孩子身心全面发展。不过老师的培养问题一直是困扰这个行业发展的关键。目前国内有一些诸如户外自然讲解员、户外自然体验师、研学导师等培训,但更多是一种临时解决方案,没有一个机制的建立,一定程度上会影响整个行业的发展。因此本文主要以广西南宁的户森校园作为研究对象,以教师的持续专业发展为基础,通过案例分析探讨如何建立森林学校老师的培养机制,最后指出做好招聘选拔,以体验、认识、参与、反思、内化、迁移为模型进行培训,定期开展工作坊反馈,通过培养内部培训师引领老师们的学习,从而实现森林学校老师可持续发展的良性循环机制。     

高中高级职称教研组长异地培训的实践探索

异地培训作为教师培训创新的一种模式,体现了开放的培训理念。文章就高中高级职称教研组长异地培训实践中所取得的成效进行了相关探索,同时指出了培训过程中存在的问题以及进一步改进的措施,以期使教师异地培训模式得以不断地丰富与完善。     

教师专业发展学校的构建

教师专业发展学校是以中小学为基地,由大学或教育科研机构和中小学合作建立的旨在促进教师专业发展的教学研究共同体。本文在分析教师专业发展学校特征的基础上,对构建教师专业发展学校的整体架构以及教师专业发展学校的运作载体与策略进行了初步探索,以期能对我国构建教师专业发展学校有所裨益。     

Professional Development Schools: New Opportunities for Training School Counselors

The authors examine how counselor educators can become involved in professional development schools to create enhanced training opportunities for school counseling internship students. The benefits of collaboration between university and public school faculties are explored, and research opportunities are discussed. Counselor educators' expertise in research and program evaluation, combined with school counselors' pragmatic experience in dealing with real‐life issues, may promote best practices in the schools and improved training for school counselors and can set the stage for collaboration as an educational team at the preservice level.     

教师专业发展视域中的卓越小学教师培养

卓越小学教师是小学教师专业发展的高级阶段,具有综合业绩优异、专业性强、师德水平高、教育信念坚定等特点。培养卓越教师需要教师教育机构制定卓越教师专业标准,引领教师专业发展方向,构建"职前职后一体化"教育体系。卓越教师的职前教育培养可以采取把好入口关、基础关、通识关、专长关、信念关等策略,卓越教师的职后培养可以采取进修、交流、反思、研究、激励等策略。     

促进农村中学校长专业发展的培训模式的实践研究

校长培训是促进校长专业发展的有效途径之一。在众多的培训模式中,我们开展了以下三种培训模式的实践,证明是比较有效的：“主题组班、滚动培训”模式,适用于中学校长提高培训;案例教学模式,主要适用于校长任职资格培训,也适用于提高培训;校本学习与自我反思模式,适用于所有的校长。     

Education Policy Borrowing: Professional Standards for School Leaders in China

Abstract

Realizing there is a global policy convergence that emphasizes the standardized key qualities of and expectations for “successful” school leaders, this article provides an in-depth analysis on the initiation of the Professional Standards for Compulsory Schools Principals (Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China 2013 Ministry of Education of People’s Republic of China. 2013, February 16. Using policy borrowing as an analytical framework, this study sheds light on critical questions concerning why this standards-based leadership policy is borrowed, and how this policy document responds to local Chinese contexts. In alignment with an understanding of national policy across the local-global nexus, which is derived from critical policy analysis, this study uncovers the influences of global leadership discourses on its formation. It also focuses on the ways in which neoliberal ideology and Chinese sociocultural contexts have intertwined, and how this negotiates and shapes this policy. Finally, this article concludes that the introduction of this initiative suggests China’s efforts in its quest for a world-class education system, through the standardization of school leaders’ practices, which is both locally and internationally situated. It argues that while understanding the contested positions on standards-based policies around the globe, China did not blindly borrow this policy from “the West,” but rather employs it as a strategy for legislation, to reposition itself in the global order and gain broader international recognition.

The Professional Development of High School Chemistry Coordinators

The implementation of new content and pedagogical standards in science education necessitates intensive, long-term professional development of science teachers. In this paper, we describe the rationale and structure of a comprehensive and intensive professional development program of school-based leaders, namely school chemistry coordinators. The year-long program was designed so that the chemistry teachers who enrolled in the program were able to develop in three interrelated aspects: content knowledge, pedagogical content knowledge, and leadership ability. Several strategies for the development of these aspects were adopted from Loucks-Horsley, Hewson, Love, & Stiles (1998). The evaluation of the program focused on the changes that participating teachers underwent regarding their personal beliefs and their functioning as school chemistry coordinators in their schools.
