远程教育中基于课程的协作学习研究

分析了远程教育中的不利因素,为了克服这些不利因素,根据协作学习理论,提出了基于课程的协作学习模式。该模式分为个体式、小组式、整体式三种教学形式。在实践该模式时应注意目标性、可行性、趣味性、实用性、开放性、及时反馈等六个问题。     

Technology in Support of Collaborative Learning

This paper reviews the research conducted in the last 20 years on the application of technology in support of collaborative learning in higher education. The review focuses primarily on studies that use Internet-based technologies and social interaction analysis. The review provides six sets of observations/recommendations regarding methodology, empirical evidence, and research gaps and issues that may help focus future research in this emerging field of study.

The Brink of Change: Gender in Technology-Rich Collaborative Learning Environments

This study was designed to contribute to a small but growing body of knowledge on the influence of gender in technology-rich collaborative learning environments. The study examined middle school students attitudes towards using computers and working in groups during scientific inquiry. Students attitudes towards technology and group work were analyzed using questionnaires. To add depth to the findings from the survey research, the role of gender was also investigated through the analysis of student conversations in the context of two activities: exploring science information on a hypertext text and conducting hands-on investigations. The data suggest that not only are girls and boys are similar with regard to attitudes about computers and group work, but that during collaborative learning activities, girls may actually participate more actively and persistently regardless of the nature of the task.

Leading Deep Conversations in Collaborative Inquiry Groups

Collaborative inquiry groups, such as professional learning communities and lesson study groups, are proliferating in schools across the United States. In whatever form, the potential for impacting student learning through this collaborative work is expanded or limited by the nature of teachers’ conversations. Polite, congenial conversations remain superficially focused on sharing stories of practice, whereas collegial dialogue probes more deeply into teaching and learning. Examples of talk taken from collaborative teacher inquiry groups are used to illustrate these important differences. Specific recommendations are provided, including the role that teacher leaders can play in adopting and modeling specific strategies that support the use of more substantive professional conversation.     

Undergraduate Student Socialization and Learning in an Online Professional Curriculum

Using data collected from a qualitative case study of an online baccalaureate nursing program, we examined the influence of online degree programs on undergraduate student socialization and learning. We considered how components of socialization—knowledge acquisition, investment, and involvement—are influenced by the online context. The findings suggest the importance of considering non-academic influences in regards to nontraditional student experiences. The theoretical intersection of online learning and undergraduate student development offers new and significant areas of research, specifically related to the pedagogical role of faculty and the impact of social engagement. Interaction and Collaboration Using an Intelligent Collaborative Learning Environment

The goal of this research is to design and prototype an intelligent collaborative learning environment. Within this environment, we study synchronous interaction among group members (students) working on a problem/project. Students use an Intelligent Collaborative Support System (ICSS) and a shared activity space: the Tulka Whiteboard. Two main interaction spaces have been implemented: a planning-communication space and a production space. Dialogue and negotiation are supported through the ICSS permitting exchange and evaluation of free-text communication messages that are initiated by students choosing sentence openers from a menu. Using the whiteboard, a virtual room is dedicated to a group of students who share documents, annotations on documents, drawing tools, and text tools. Each group is provided a dynamic assessment of their collaborative skills based on a communication skills model.

协作学习非常有助于培养学生团队意识与探究精神,但学生协作过程中不可避免地会产生人际冲突,人际冲突给协作学习和学生的长远发展带来很大的负面影响.教师在协作学习活动前应采取预防措施,活动中进行监控调节,能够基本化解人际冲突,从而最大限度地发挥协作学习策略的优势.     

协作式教学（CL）模式在外语课堂教学中的应用

本文以协作式教学的建构主义理论为基础,探讨了协作式课堂教学背景中教师与学生角色的转换,以及协作式教学的特点与内涵：注重以群体小组与结对子为主的教学模式,以学习者为中心来组织教学活动,强调学习者的个性、内在动机、自我指导、个人发展及合作意识。协作式教学模式的应用,对提高大学英语课堂教学质量,尤其是大学生交际能力的培养,丰富当前大学英语教学改革的途径与手段具有特殊的意义。

协作学习活动结构是对协作学习过程的一种设计、规划和描述。教师通过设计协作学习活动结构对协作学习过程实现隐性控制,促成协作学习有效发生。在阐述协作学习活动结构设计的流程和原则基础之上,系统建构了协作学习活动结构设计的任务分析、时序排列、角色定义和资源分配4种策略,并分析了协作学习活动结构化的局限。     

Effects of Collaborative and Individual Learning in a Blended Learning Environment

In courses using a virtual learning environment (VLE), some students like to work together, and some do not. If we give students the opportunity to choose either teamwork or individual study, how does this affect their marks and their appraisal and assessment of the course? This question has been investigated in the context of an English Literature course at the University of Utrecht. In this course, students work intensively with a VLE, and attend lectures: a blended learning environment. Previous research has shown that the pedagogical design used provides a powerful learning environment. This time, students had the choice of working on the course assignments in small teams (2–4 students), or individually. Both groups were compared based on their study results, and the answers to a questionnaire. Students valued the choice. Mainly those students with high marks for a previous course, which had a similar pedagogical design, preferred collaboration. Statistical analysis showed that collaboration resulted in significantly better marks.
