最“成功”的愚人节恶作剧(英文)

(愚人节)溯源

每年的4月1日是英美等西方国家传统的节目———AprilFools’Day。在这一天,孩子们可以对别人开些无伤大雅的玩笑;大人们也喜欢在这一天搞些恶作剧;报纸、广播、电视等宣传工具用巧妙虚构的故事来捉弄人也时有所闻。尽管这一天许多人受到“愚弄”,但最后,总是能给大家带来意想不到的欢娱和乐趣。不过,愚人节的由来却与发生在英国的一件不幸的事件有关,时间是在1545年。当时,一位旅居英国的挪威科学家LoofLirpa写信给英王亨利八世(HenryVⅢ),信中宣布他已解决了飞行问题,并请求国王参加4月1日他在威斯敏斯特(Westminster,英国议会所在地)…

April 1 is April Fools' Day. In Britain,America and a few other countries it is the custom to play tricks on people on that day.Children are allowed to play harmless jokes on their friends until twelve o' clock.Usually they try to trick other children into doing foolish things.It isn't only children that like such jokes. Grown-ups like such jokes too. Even the media occasionally try to deceive the public with a clever April Fool story.
