由课本一道例题引出的猜想

笔者在采用分析法证(√3)+(√7)＜2(√5)(全日制普通高级中学教科书(实验修订本·必修)数学第二册第15页)时,想到一个问题,那就是:若不仔细看题,会不会把题抄为"求证:(√3)+(√7)＞2(√5)"呢?经过一番思考,我发现这其中蕴含了一个猜想.

(√a2)运算中的错例分析

例1计算(√4)-(√7)-(√4)+(√7) 错解:设x-(√4)-(√4)-(√4)+(√4),得 x2=((√4)-(√7)-(√4)+(√7))2 =4-(√7)-2(√(4-(√7))(4+(√7)))+4+(√7)=4-(√7)-6+4+(√7) =2. ∴x=(√2)     

(√a)2与√a2的异同

1.字母a的取值范围不同 (√a)2=a中a≥0,即a是非负数.而√a2=| a|中a可取一切实数.例如:等式(√x-y)2=x-y成立的前提条件是x-y≥0,即x≥y.而等式√(x-y)2=| x-y |,不论x-y＞0,x-y=0或x-y＜0都成立,并且根据绝对值的定义有:√(x-y)2=| x-y |={ x-y(x＞y) 0 (x=y) y-x (x＜y)
