沈从文人格形式嬗变述论

人格形式嬗变的内在动因是主导文化力量的更替。中国传统文化规范下的自我萎缩型人格、现代边际文化规范下的自我发现型人格和楚苗地域文化规范下的自我超越型人格，是沈从文不同生命阶段的三种人格形成。“生存苦闷”、“精神孤独”和“爱、美与神的同一”是沈从文三种形式的内在特质。

“人格”一词源于拉丁文persona,原指“面具”、“脸谱”,用来表现剧中人的身份、性格和角色特点。在“面具”转化为“人格”时,产生了两层含义:一方面是指一个人在生活舞台上扮演的角色行为;另一方面是指一个人的真实面目。现代教育伦理学认为,所谓人格是指个体在一定的道德、文化关系中所显现的品格和行为程式。马克思也曾指出“个人是社会存在物”。由此可见,人格应该是在“一定的社会关系”中的某一部分(道德、文化关系)中形成和塑造的。所谓“学生人格”则是学生在一定的道德文化关系中所显出的品格特征和行为程式。
