学生归因训练的途径和方法

归因训练在近年来一直是西方心理学界十分重视的研究课题,它为人类行为的控制提供了一条新的途径．并广泛地应用到心理现象研究的各个领域。本文章以韦纳的归因理论为依据,吸取西方归因训练的成果,结合中国学生的特点,对归因训练的途径和方法进行了探讨。     

大学生人际交往障碍的归因分析

在人际交往过程中,个体会对彼此的行为进行归因。本文基于归因理论把大学生的人际交往理解为结果一归因一情绪、期望一行为抉择这两种过程。对大学生人际交往障碍的表现主要从归因方式,归因目的以及元认知水平等方面进行了分析。进而提出家庭教育、学校教育、社会教育应当为大学生创造良好的环境,重视大学生的人际交往的归因训练和指导,帮助纠正归因偏差,促使建立积极合理的归因模式,从而使大学生减少人际冲突,获得更好的发展。     

对高职对口生数学学习进行归因训练的个案研究

本文报告了运用归因理论对一名高职对口女生有意识地进行归因训练的个案研究。该生数学学习成绩一直不好,并且她把成绩不好的原因归结为自己是女生没有数学头脑,因此有放弃学习数学的念头。作者在已有的理论性研究、实证性研究的基础上初步分析了该生数学学习的归因现状以及其归因风格形成的原因,根据归因理论采用各种教育方式来影响她的归因认识,取得了良好的效果。

A simple introduction to programming and statistics with decision trees in R

University students in other disciplines without prior knowledge in statistics and/or programming language are introduced to the statistical method of decision trees in the programming language R during a 45-minute teaching and practice session. Statistics and programming skills are now frequently required within a wide variety of research fields and private industries. However, students unfamiliar with these subjects may be reluctant to join a full course because of time or student workloads or other commitments or a belief it is not for them. The proposed session is short and can be used as an ice-breaker to let students have a basic understanding of running statistical models in programming language.

The effects of choice in the classroom: Is there too little or too much choice?

Motivation is a subject that is constantly discussed in the field of education. Teachers are taught not only to teach their students, but to motivate them to want to learn. As students get older, intrinsic motivation tends to decrease; therefore it becomes more difficult for teachers to motivate students (Ryan and Deci, 2000a). According to self‐determination theory (Ryan and Deci, 2000a, 2000b), students' needs for autonomy, competence and relatedness must be met in order to experience positive social development and growth. When these needs are met, students experience high levels of self‐motivation. Offering choice in the classroom is one way to increase student motivation by appealing to students' needs for autonomy and competence. In the fields of marketing, economics and social psychology, decision‐making research is examined as a way to shape consumers' preferences. This literature review will aim to utilise and possibly translate some of these findings to an educational setting. By examining the aspect of choice in separate fields, it can be seen that there is still much to be researched in the field of education. Recommendations for future research on choice in the field of education are made.

Experiencing production ramp-up education for engineers

This paper presents a game of industrialisation, based on a paper airplane, that mimics real world production ramp-up and blends classical engineering courses together. It is based on a low cost product so that it can be mass produced. The game targets graduate students and practitioners in engineering fields. For students, it offers an experiment in which methods learned in separate courses can be applied. For practitioners, it affords an opportunity to engage in reflexive practices related to industrialisation. Both students and practitioners are able to experience integrated management, required by industrialisation, in a controlled environment: the laboratory.

How Students Attempt to Reduce Abstraction in the Learning of Mathematics and in the Learning of Computer Science

This article focuses on ion and ways in which students cope with abstraction. The article has two goals: first, it illustrates how the theme of reducing abstraction (Hazzan, 1999) is useful for analyzing students' thinking about abstract concepts in mathematics and in computer science; second, it demonstrates how theories based on mathematics education research can be applied to analyzing students' understanding of computer science concepts. The main section of the article analyzes the understanding of concepts from four fields – abstract algebra, computability, data structures and differential equations – through the lens of reducing abstraction. The analysis shows that a wide range of cognitive phenomena can be explained by one theoretical framework.
