信息素养的“研习实践”教育方式与大学图书馆基础服务的变革--香港城市大学图书馆特别顾问景祥祜教授访谈与启示

信息素养的"研习实践"教育方式能够推动大学图书馆基础服务的整体变革与升级转型。这种教育理念及方式是香港城市大学图书馆通过LHRC项目颇有成效的展开而得出的。为了更深入理解与学习这种理念与实践经验,特对香港城市大学图书馆特别顾问景祥祜教授进行了访谈。访谈从信息素养教育的元素养、研习实践教育理念、香港城市大学图书馆LHRC项目案例、大学图书馆基础服务的变革等几个方面进行了探讨与总结,积极寻求大学图书馆基础服务在知识创造、知识管理、知识传播方面的变革与创新。     

国内外高等院校信息素质教育研究进展

文章在对信息素质及信息素质教育的由来与发展作概述性介绍的基础上,对国内外信息素质教育的研究进展与实施情况作了较为全面的梳理,最后对我国高校深化信息素质教育提出若干建议.参考文献6.     

Guided and Team-Based Learning for Chemical Information Literacy

This case study recounts a process of course design, conduct, and evaluation for a single-session chemical information literacy class using guided and team-based learning. This approach incorporates active learning, worked examples, process worksheets, and POGIL elements. The instruction followed an iterative cycle of learning exercises whereby (1) the instructor introduces an information problem or task through a short presentation, (2) student teams collaboratively work through process worksheets that guide them through the technical and analytical tasks of resolving the information problem or task, (3) the instructor serves as a facilitator to address learning needs that arise during the exercise, while student teams analyze and reflect upon the learning activity and concepts, and afterwards, (4) the class engages in a discussion as an opportunity for evaluation, further exploration, and peer instruction. Overall, the guided and team-based learning approach offers opportunities to observe student progress closely and forges a collaborative spirit between students and the instructor for an engaging and rewarding experience.     

手机应用于大学图书馆信息素养教育的研究

手机图书馆、移动学习及智能手机的发展,推动了基于手机的大学图书馆信息素养教育的开展。应用手机开展的信息素养教育可通过移动优化信息素养教育网站、音频和视频指南下载、参考咨询服务、手机二维码应用、课堂反馈系统和微博等方式实现。手机的应用使大学图书馆信息素养教育方式多样化、目的性更强,使读者能够零散化学习,提高了用户与馆员的交互性。大学图书馆应顺应发展,重构信息素养教育资源,积极探索手机信息素养教育新方式。     

图书馆科研数据管理与服务模式探讨

基于国外图书馆开展科研数据管理与服务的实践,从技术支撑、科研数据组织方式、科研数据服务方式、基于科研数据的用户信息素养教育、相关机构与人员配置等方面探讨了图书馆进行科研数据管理与服务的模式。技术支撑包括基础设施构建和软件工具建设;科研数据组织方式包括机构仓储方式和数据门户方式;科研数据服务包括数据获取服务和数据分析服务;科研数据管理应纳入到用户信息素养教育中,对科研人员进行科研数据管理意识、知识和技能的培训;科研数据管理与服务需要图书馆相关机构和人员配置予以保障。图2。表1。参考文献25。     

我国信息素质教育研究的现状与建议

本文基于中国知网对我国产出的4951篇信息素质教育(信息素养教育)论文进行文献计量学分析,探讨了信息素质教育中存在的问题,提出了信息素质教育发展的一些建议。     

Maximizing and assessing a one-shot information literacy session: A case study

This case study describes collaboration between an instructor and business librarian to maximize a one-shot information literacy session for a required marketing class for business majors. It includes an active-learning exercise where groups use three key business databases to conduct a company and industry analysis and an environmental scan for a company. The instructor then guides them in developing a strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats (SWOT) analysis. This session prepares students for the SWOT analysis they will have to submit for their actual projects. This article includes assessment of groups' in-class exercises as well as citation analysis of the assignments they turned in for their actual projects.     

Research in librarianship in Thailand: a bibliographical survey

The quantity of information distributed today on the Internet, especially through the World Wide Web, is rising much more quickly than the quantity of information available through other mass media. Just as we do not like or believe everything we read in the newspapers, see on TV, or hear on the radio, we cannot like or believe everything on the Internet. Consequently, it is necessary to critically assess the quality of websites and to determine the extent to which they meet our needs and requirements. This paper is an attempt to analyze information evaluation concept and process-based on some quality management concepts, rools and methods in order to propose some basic criteria to evaluate website quality and to select suitable websites.     

The Critical Inquiry Imperative: Information Literacy and Critical Inquiry as Complementary Concepts in Higher Education

Sharing a variety of characteristics and theories, critical inquiry and information literacy have the potential to complement one another in a higher education setting. This article explores an initiative at the University of South Carolina Aiken to help students with their critical thinking and reasoning skills through the implementation of a new, one-credit, freshman seminar course. The class, entitled Critical Inquiry, would address three student learning outcomes, including one directed at information literacy. A case study of how the initiative was implemented is discussed.     

Utilizing WebQuests for Information Literacy Instruction in Distance Education

ABSTRACT

The increasing use of problem-based learning in higher education affords librarians new avenues for promoting the development of information literacy skills among students. Information literacy instruction supports problem-based learning activities by providing students with skills to locate relevant resources for developing solutions to these exercises. The author created three WebQuests (together with tutorials) aimed at promoting faculty-librarian partnerships to deliver information literacy instruction through a problem-based learning approach in the context of course work in a distance learning environment. These problem-based learning WebQuests can be adapted to various disciplines as well as to traditional learning environments. Lastly, these WebQuests promote the development of information literacy skills in students as well as increase their exposure to problem-based learning. doi:10.1300/J106v14n03_03     

对图书馆学与档案学专业本科教育整合的思考

当前,图书馆学与档案学专业本科教育面临着诸多的尴尬与困境,两者的整合是大势所趋。图书馆学与档案学专业基于课程整合的本科教育整合是一种初级层次的整合,在新的社会实践背景下,需要被基于学科整合的本科教育整合所代替。其主要思路就是在图书馆学、情报学与档案学三个二级学科的基础上,整合一个新的上位类学科——信息资源管理学。     

从普适技能到嵌入实践——国外信息素养理论与实践回顾

20世纪70年代,在信息技术迅速发展和信息资源日益重要的背景下,信息素养概念产生。随后,美国图书馆界率先将书目指导业务转型为信息素养教育,信息素养也成为图书馆情报学的重要研究领域。本文主要依据国外信息素养领域文献及其他相关文献,对信息素养概念、理论、实践的演进进行了比较全面的分析和总结,旨在为国内同仁从全局角度理解国外信息素养领域的各种变化,提供线索和洞见。研究发现:国外信息素养领域对早期信息素养概念进行了四种不同性质的修正及两次颠覆性改变,引进和发展了多种相关理论,包括各种流派的建构主义学习理论、各种批判理论和实践理论,实施了不同路径的信息素养教育实践;这些相互影响的发展变化导致了三种信息素养范式的出现:普适技能范式、情境化能力范式和嵌入实践范式。通过对已有范式的反思,本文提出未来信息素养研究和实践应将培养持久的信息获取利用习惯纳入考量范围。     

公众信息素养教育:全球进展及我国的对策

信息素养自20世纪70年代在美国被提出之后,受到世界各国的普遍重视,联合国教科文组织、IFLA、欧盟委员会等国际组织均致力于通过教育提升全球公众的信息素养。本文通过系统梳理国内外公众信息素养教育领域的研究成果和实践探索资料,以及政府文件、会议记录、重要机构或项目的报告、指南、年鉴等文献,总结全球公众信息素养教育实践与理论研究的渊源、演变历程和实践现状。研究发现当前全球公众信息素养教育存在三个突出问题:整体水平不高,发展不平衡,研究滞后于实践。为提升我国公众信息素养教育水平,建议尽快出台专门政策和标准,鼓励多元主体参与,力求覆盖各类受众,采取多种教学方式,大力培养师资,合作建设资源,搭建交流平台和传播中国声音。表1。参考文献84。     

Leaving the Lecture Behind: Putting PubMed Instruction into the Hands of the Students

This column describes the development of a one-shot PubMed instruction class for medical students at a health sciences library. Background information on the objective is presented and discussed in the context of educational practice literature. The new course design centers on a guided group method of instruction in order to integrate more active learning. Surveyed students reported that the method was an effective way to learn how to search PubMed and that they preferred it to a traditional lecture. Pros and cons of the method are offered for other health sciences libraries interested in presenting PubMed instruction in a similar manner.     

社会科学情报研究的变迁、深化与拓展

论文以《国际信息管理杂志》(原名《社会科学情报研究》)作为数据源,对其自创刊以来所发表的论文进行主题统计分析,揭示了该刊的学术质量与特色、研究重点及发展变化趋势,以期对我国社会科学情报研究有所裨益。     

Information literacy instruction in four Vietnamese university libraries

This case study explored the perceptions of academic stakeholders about the development and delivery of information literacy (IL) programs in four universities, and identified elements necessary to establishing IL credit courses in Vietnamese higher education. The following research questions framed this study: 1) How do library administrators, instruction librarians, and faculty perceive the current implementation of information literacy instruction (ILI) programs for undergraduates studies in universities libraries in Vietnam? 2) What are the challenges to including IL as a credit course in the curriculum as perceived by library administrators, instruction librarians, and faculty? Respondents were purposefully recruited from four universities, including library administrators, instruction librarians, and faculty. Three online surveys were distributed to 537 individuals through Survey Monkey with 149 replies and a final receipt of 133 completed surveys. Interview and focus group data collection included 23 face-to-face interviews and nine focus groups. Findings showed IL is considered the domain of librarians and has not influenced Vietnamese campus culture. IL activities at four university libraries take the form of lectures, workshops, and basic IL skills modules. Few ILI activities are subject discipline-related. Respondents reported challenges to an ILI credit course revolve around the lasting impact of teacher-centered instruction and rote learning, misperceptions about the effect of IL on student learning outcomes, degree of support of IL by academic stakeholders, degree of faculty–librarian collaboration, and scarcity of resources. Recommendations are given for academic librarians in Vietnam implementing ILI programs and considering developing IL credit courses.     

长三角地区图书馆学情报学档案学硕士研究生教育现状分析

以长三角地区具有图情档硕士研究生教育点的各高校2009年硕士研究生招生目录为出发点,结合相关数据和研究成果。从研究方向的数量和内容、入学考试专业科目、复试科目对目前长三角地区图情档硕士研究生教育现状进行了分析和比较,为以后图情档硕士研究生教育的发展、招生和就业提供支持。参考文献7。

国内外信管类院系的信息素养教育:体系、要素与前瞻

对现阶段国内外信管院系信息素养教育实践展开深入分析,有助于指导图书馆工作实践和推动信息素养教育的转型与发展。通过对国内外12所iSchools院校的网络调研,获取信息素养教育的正规与非正规学习的类型和方式,梳理信息素养教育体系、要素与前瞻。该研究认为信息素养教育体系包括3个大要素和11个小要素,指出信息素养理论基础研究、职场信息素养教育研究、非结构化与全数据获取研究、公共卫生与个人健康信息研究将会是未来信息素养教育的发展趋势。     

我国科技馆科学教育发展新方向——基于《现代科技馆体系发展“十四五”规划(2021—2025年)》的展望

科技馆是校外科学教育的基础阵地,在提升青少年科学素质、培育未来科技创新人才等方面发挥着重要作用。《现代科技馆体系发展“十四五”规划(2021—2025年)》的出台,标志着我国科技馆体系进入新的发展阶段。本文从分析科技馆科学教育的重要定位出发,指出科技馆科学教育在实现价值引领、供给侧改革以及开放体系建设上的新目标,并结合我国科技馆科学教育发展中的现存问题,从理论研究、资源建设和生态构建层面提出解决方案,助力我国青少年科学素质提升。
