目的:了解临床医学及相关专业医学生《医学统计学》慕课教学质量评价,为线上线下配合教学和提高教学效果提供数据支持和策略建议。方法:目前,南京医科大学生物统计学系全体教师和部分研究生初步构成课堂教学和网络教学的团队。在此基础上,本研究采用问卷调查的方式,随机抽取200名南京医科大学2015和2016级临床医学及其相关医学专业本科生为调查对象,调查内容包括教学评价、教学过程、导航设计和课程内容设计4个方面。结果:通过本次调查研究,我们发现课堂讨论(P=0.000)、教学互动满意程度(P=0.001)、知识点讲解(P=0.050)、教学互动的有无(P=0.007)和教学目标是否明确(P=0.000),对于是否切实提高教学效果有统计学意义。结论:医学本科生充分意识到统计学在以后临床和科研中的重要作用和实用性,基本可以利用公开的网络资源进行学习,但目前的网络资源质量仍有待提高。[1]  相似文献

目的:调查重庆医科大学口腔实习生情绪智力和冲突管理方式现状,并分析其情绪智力和冲突处理模式的关系。方法:采用黄氏和罗氏情绪智力量表及荷兰式测试问卷(遇到冲突时的对策)在我校口腔实习生中进行问卷调查,最终对调查结果进行统计学分析。统计分析采用SPSS 22.0软件包进行。结果:共回收有效问卷162份。我校口腔实习生整体情绪智力水平为中等水平;使用频率最高的冲突管理方式是压制,最不常使用的冲突管理方式是解决问题;冲突管理方式与情绪智力水平有关,情绪智力水平高的实习生更倾向于科学地处理冲突。结论:我校口腔实习生的冲突管理方式需要进行科学的引导,管理水平需要提高。  相似文献

Increasingly, higher education institutions are realising that higher education could be regarded as a business-like service industry and they are beginning to focus more on meeting or even exceeding the needs of their students. Recent research findings suggest that the factors that create student satisfaction with teaching (‘teaching satisfiers’) may be qualitatively differently from the factors that create dissatisfaction with teaching. Thus, this research uses the Kano methodology to reveal the characteristics of professors that students take for granted (‘Must-be factors’) and that have the potential to delight them (‘Excitement factors’). Kano questionnaires containing 19 attributes of effective professors taken from previous studies and focus group discussions were handed out in two marketing courses to 63 postgraduate students enrolled in a service marketing course. The Kano results corroborate previous US findings that revealed the importance of personality in general and support studies that stress the importance of professors creating rapport with their students in particular.  相似文献

In this paper we develop a conceptual framework for analyzing school choice decisions, evaluate past empirical research, and estimate an individual level model of choice using a unique data set. Previous empirical work modeling households' decisions to send their children to public or private schools frequently employed incomplete or aggregate data that precluded firm policy conclusions. The data employed here merges 1980 individual level census data with information about schools in New York. The results suggest that parents are sensitive to the relative quality of school offerings, the tuition of religious schools, characteristics of other students in each alternative, and socioeconomic characteristics of the family. The empirical findings contribute to our understanding of the existing school choice structure and provide insights concerning new school choice proposals.  相似文献

基于重庆市建设大都市的战略背景,巴南区花溪镇正处于快速城市化和工业化进程中,探讨其大气环境质量变化趋势并制定相应保护措施,对镇域可持续发展具有重要意义.首先对花溪镇空气污染源进行了调查,并对空气环境质量进行了评价,然后对工业废气、生活废气和汽车尾气的排放情况进行了预测.结果表明未来花溪镇大气污染物排放量可能会增加;最后提出实施工业布局调整、重点工业污染源管理、清洁能源推广工程、汽车尾气污染防治、餐饮废气整治和城市森林建设等措施以保护大气环境质量.  相似文献

There is a need for a questionnaire designed specifically to evaluate taught postgraduate (TPg) awards for quality assurance or enhancement purposes. Comparison of undergraduate and TPg awards suggests that as the former have broadened their ambit to better nurture generic graduate attributes, TPg awards have concentrated on advanced specialised knowledge and skills. Those enrolling in TPg programmes are often mature part-time students working in a field associated with the subject studied. A set of interviews with TPg students revealed that they had clear expectations of the knowledge and skills they were expected to acquire from their studies and were able to comment critically on curriculum design. This made it clear that instruments designed for undergraduate degrees would not be suitable. Therefore, a TPg questionnaire was designed based on a model derived from a qualitative study, which adopted a grounded theory approach to collect views from 21 part-time TPg students from seven programmes offered by six institutions in Hong Kong. The conceptual model underpinning the questionnaire design was tested using structural equation modelling. As the results showed a good fit to the data, the validity of the questionnaire was confirmed. Use of the instrument in a routine quality assurance exercise across a university revealed that results from the questionnaire were highly diagnostic, so providing constructive feedback for curriculum reform.  相似文献

Training is often the performance improvement solution of choice, yet how often does the best training not yield performance improvement? There is a growing body of evidence that indicates that many times performance improvement can be achieved faster, cheaper, and better by altering factors in the workplace than by training. This article describes an activity designed to illustrate the importance of workplace factors in improving performance and a study that demonstrates its validity. Results of the study indicate that two-thirds of the participants believed the environmental factors of information, resources, and incentives needed improving in order to enable them to improve their own performance.  相似文献

This paper examines the relative influence of factors affecting the college choice decisions of graduate students. It is based on a 1986 survey of 2,834 admitted students at a major research university, to which 38 percent of the sample responded. Factor analysis of ratings of importance of 31 college characteristics yielded dimensions upon which student decisions are based. These results were used to build five scales of importance and preference, which were then tested with other variables in a regression model in which the dependent variable was the decision to enroll or not to enroll at the surveying institution. The following were found to influence decisions: residency status, quality and other academic environment characteristics, work-related concerns, spouse considerations, financial aid, and the campus social environment.A paper presented at the Annual Forum of the Association for Institutional Research, New Orleans, May 29–June 1, 1994.  相似文献

In countries with a governance structure in which responsibility for the quality of education is shared between government and school boards, the past decades school self-evaluation has been stimulated as a way to encourage continuous quality improvement. However, working on the goals of quality assurance and school improvement at the same time is a challenge in general. To make a valuable contribution to both goals, the self-evaluation effort has to be of sufficient quality itself. In this article, we present a research-based framework for school self-evaluation (SSE) composed of both content and process factors that allows to evaluate the quality of self-evaluation in schools. We then used this model to evaluate the experiences in a comprehensive self-evaluation project that has been designed and used to help Dutch secondary schools promote the quality of student care. Our sample encompassed 79 Dutch secondary schools involved in this project. The findings show that the quality of SSE depends on the quality of the instruments (content) and process factors. However, to make a valuable contribution to school improvement and thereby the quality of education in The Netherlands more attention is needed for a balance between internal and external supervision and the role of school managers in the process of SSE.For future research more insight is needed in the challenges of meeting the content and process conditions of school self-evaluations, the governance and supervision issue at the level of schoolboards, the competence of change management in schools and the effects of SSE on the quality of education.  相似文献

科学评价教育研究的质量是教育科研和教育事业发展的迫切需要,而我国尚无学者对评价教育研究的质量进行过系统研究.综合评价作为一项教育定量研究,可以从同行评议总体质量、考察研究中涉及的关键变量属性及测度水平、识别研究问题、假设和研究设计方法、评估测量的信度和效度、评估研究的效度和信度以及研究的总结性评价六个方面来开展,其中测量的信度、效度以及研究的效度是决定研究质量最为重要的两个方面.基于科学的质量评价,才能促进教育科研工作更加严谨、规范,促使我国的教育科研质量迈上一个新的台阶.  相似文献

Research on understanding the full extent that an authentic science research experience engages students in how scientists think and act is sparse. ‘Learning-science-by-doing-science’ (LSDS) is an emerging self-guided process-learning model in postsecondary science education. It offers authentic science research opportunities that drive students to think and act like scientists. This study investigates the LSDS approach as a potential model for science learning at postsecondary level and aims to answer a main research inquiry – what are the students’ and teaching staff’s perceptions of students’ learning gains and the quality of their learning experiences in an authentic research environment within the LSDS model? To answer this question, data were collected from the students, alumni, instructors, teaching assistants and the program director via questionnaires, focus groups and interviews. Students’ and staff’s lived experiences and their perceptions on their authentic research experiences within the LSDS model were used to articulate the key attributes and stages of the LSDS model. The outcomes of this study can be used to help other science programs implement similar authentic research process learning approaches in their own contexts.  相似文献

This article explores the importance of considering transportation mode when calculating commute time for a child’s school choice options. While proponents of school choice argue that students can attend any school that will provide them the best education, several have argued that commute time is as important for families as a school’s characteristics. However, research to date models commute time using either distance as a proxy or minutes driving. In Philadelphia, a context where most people use public transportation to work and school, the authors argue that commute time to school must be calculated using this mode of transit. Using geospatial network analyses, the authors create choice sets for each neighborhood public high school. They first calculate the commute time between each zoned public high school and each public high school choice in the city by driving and by using public transportation. These two sets of commute times are then evaluated for the differences. The authors then calculate choice sets based on the average commute time in the city based on both modes of transportation. Finally, they compare the choice sets for each service area for spatial equity of public school quality. Findings indicate that the commute times between driving and public transportation are statistically different. Furthermore, public school choice sets within Philadelphia are spatially equitable, although the overall school quality needs improvement. The article concludes with policy implications and recommendations for future research.  相似文献

An effective approach for describing complicated water quality processes is very important for river water quality management. We built two artificial neural network (ANN) models, a feed-forward back-propagation (BP) model and a radial basis function (RBF) model, to simulate the water quality of the Yangtze and Jialing Rivers in reaches crossing the city of Chongqing, P. R. China. Our models used the historical monitoring data of biological oxygen demand, dissolved oxygen, ammonia, oil and volatile phenolic compounds. Comparison with the one-dimensional traditional water quality model suggest that both BP and RBF models are superior; their higher accuracy and better goodness-of-fit indicate that the ANN calculation of water quality agrees better with measurement. It is demonstrated that ANN modeling can be a tool for estimating the water quality of the Yangtze River. Of the two ANN models, the RBF model calculates with a smaller mean error, but a larger root mean square error. More effort to identify out the causes of these differences would help optimize the structures of neural network water-quality models.  相似文献

The issue of choice of schooling for their offspring is one which exercises many parents based in different parts of the world. For parents whose employment takes them away from their home country and whose children accompany them on such postings, the issue—while different from the experience of parents based solely within national systems—is no less important or complex. This paper investigates the issue of parental choice and priorities within the context of three international schools in Switzerland, where a study was undertaken to establish the basis on which parents had elected to send their children to one or other of the schools in question. Based on a survey model of questionnaires and follow-up interviews with parents, the research concludes that a major factor influencing parents is the perceived importance of an English-medium education. Interesting similarities in perceptions to emerge from the study are found amongst parents from the different schools and amongst parents of primary and secondary age children, while differences in perceived levels of importance clearly emerge between fathers and mothers, and between parents from different geographical backgrounds. The paper suggests some preliminary explanations for such differences, and highlights areas which could form the basis for further pieces of research in this growing and increasingly important context.  相似文献
