作为新冠肺炎疫情所有信息的重要入口,互联网成为这次疫情主要的“信息源”平台。在这场疫情阻击战中,能否以计算机技术为依托,融合多种算法深度挖掘和实时跟踪全网数据,从高校管理侧打造防疫战线,发挥计算机技术战“疫”价值?本文运用了边缘学习和联邦学习两项计算机技术,设计出一个针对高校新冠肺炎疫情防控的管理模型。通过边缘计算能够迅速得出分析结果,从而精准实施新冠肺炎防控措施。通过联邦计算可以在保证每位师生的信息安全前提下,快速分析高校所收集的师生数据,从而及时安排相应的防疫措施,避免新冠肺炎疫情进一步扩散。  相似文献

This paper examines the needs of students who, in the past, may have chosen to major in computer science or some other aspect of information technology as a way of achieving the goal of finding a job in the computer graphics field. The growth in computer graphics has lead to increased job opportunities in the industry. However, these jobs require fluency in both art and computing that an individual course or even a sequence of several courses cannot provide. In the past, there has been discussion of curricula for isolated graphics courses as part of a BS/CS degree, but industry demands more preparation than what one or two courses can deliver. This paper surveys and compares the two extant Bachelor of Science degrees in Computer Graphics with the intent of encouraging dialog on the possibility of a four-year curriculum supporting this discipline.  相似文献

Computing has become highly visual as interactive programs become increasingly prevalent. Computer science students need to be able to create effective visual displays as part of interface implementation. This paper describes a course covering graphic design topics relevant to computer science students. In this course, students learn the basic visual elements, the visual organizational principles and how to use them in the context of the digital page. The other topics of this paper are the presentation of course information to the computer science student, the implementation of the course information as praxis, course project construction, and a method for critiquing student projects. Curriculum Integration will also be discussed as a feature towards achieving a seamless and collaborative experience.  相似文献

The notion of the computer as an inherently 'educational' machine has been a powerful influence on both the conceptualisation and consumption of information technology in the UK over the past 20 years. Most recently, a belief in the teaching and learning capabilities of the computer underpinned much of New Labour's policy agenda during their first term of office, most notably in the form of the 1.6 billion 'National Grid for Learning' initiative. Yet all too often, the high-profile social shaping of computing as 'educational' has been more grounded in rhetoric than in reality, with the 'hype' of the educational computer noticeably at odds with the actual impact of computing technologies in schools and at home. From this background, the present paper explores how the computer became to be so strongly 'configured' as educational during its integration into mainstream British society and culture. In so doing, the paper examines the various actors and routes of transmitting information that were involved in the construction of the computer as an educational machine and, as a result, goes on to consider the underlying motivations behind this process. In asking these questions, the paper focuses on the period 1979-89 as marking the birth of mainstream educational computing in the UK, and therefore identifies and discusses the prevailing influences of the incumbent Conservative government, the burgeoning home computer industry as well as the print and broadcast media as powerful actors in the formative discursive shaping of 'educational' computing. Having mapped out these shaping forces, the paper concludes by considering the implications of the on-going trend towards the educational mythologising of information technology in British society.  相似文献

Current policy efforts that seek to improve learning in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) emphasize the importance of helping all students acquire concepts and tools from computer science that help them analyze and develop solutions to everyday problems. These goals have been generally described in the literature under the term computational thinking. In this article, we report on the design, implementation, and outcomes of an after-school program on computational thinking. The program was founded through a partnership between university faculty, undergraduates, teachers, and students. Specifically, we examine how equitable pedagogical practices can be applied in the design of computing programs and the ways in which participation in such programs influence middle school students' learning of computer science concepts, computational practices, and attitudes toward computing. Participants included 52 middle school students who voluntarily attended the 9-week after-school program, as well as four undergraduates and one teacher who designed and implemented the program. Data were collected from after-school program observations, undergraduate reflections, computer science content assessments, programming products, and attitude surveys. The results indicate that the program positively influenced student learning of computer science concepts and attitudes toward computing. Findings have implications for the design of effective learning experiences that broaden participation in computing. ABSTRACT

This paper describes a small scale research project to pilot the loan of portable computers to students and staff for use on or off‐campus. The purpose of the research is to identify organisational procedures and associated problems, find out how these portable computers are used, and whether or not they are an effective and efficient use of resources. Take‐up of the scheme in its first phase indicates popularity with students and positive outcomes. Very high use was recorded and many students report that use in their own time and in the atmosphere of their own surroundings encourages greater self‐confidence in information technology. They also consider that access to the portables has proved significant, with the quality of their work enriched. Such experiences raise important questions about the organisation of computing facilities and focus issues beyond the viability and economics of portable computer loan schemes. Within the outcomes of the project, there should be useful data pointing to the need to develop imaginative policies and funding models whereby each student can own or have ready access to their own personal computer. An important outcome of this could be the increased use of information technology by initial teacher education students, resulting in a corresponding increase in the transference of confidence, and use of information technology by children and other teachers in school.  相似文献

Students negotiate their masculine and feminine identities as students of information and communication technology (ICT) and computer users as they participate in specialist ICT courses and in other areas of their lives. As they negotiate these roles, they are established in relations of power and authority with the technology and with each other. Case study research relating to students’ experiences in specialist computer courses in a New Zealand secondary school reveals a complex and dynamic picture of identity construction and subjectivity. In constructing their personal identities as computer users, males and females experience the regulatory forces of gender relations while at the same time resisting stereotypes. Students make conscious and pragmatic decisions to pursue particular computing courses and paths as they balance their options in the realisation of their possible selves as computer users and adults in the world of work. These decisions signify regulation by and resistance to gendered power relations.  相似文献

The ‘Laptop for Teachers’ program was introduced by the Victorian Department of Education to provide every teacher in the state system with a laptop computer. It forms part of a larger strategy to expand the use of information technology and multimedia in Victorian schools. At the heart of this program is a belief that computing technology will not only bring about a dramatic change in the way students interact with teachers, but will give new meaning to ‘knowledge’ and provide a different approach to the way knowledge is generated and transmitted. At the same time, little indication was given to teachers as to how this might be realised with the laptop computer. This paper reports on the initial attempts of a group of teachers in a Victorian government secondary school to explore the possibilities for computers in their work. The author carried out this research as one of the twenty-nine teachers at the school who received a laptop computer in the first-round allocation in 1998.  相似文献

计算机科学与技术专业卓越人才培养是当前“新工科”建设的重要组成部分。针对人才培养中存在的问题,以云南大学为例,阐述了计算机科学与技术专业卓越人才培养体系的构建思路与具体做法。通过设置3个特色课程群,实现学生个性化分类培养;通过校企合作协同育人项目,让行业企业深度参与培养过程,使学生成为行业认可的人才;通过中国计算机学会组织的计算机软件能力认证(CCF CSP),实现对计算机专业学生程序设计能力的标准化培养;通过实习基地和创新基地建设,朝着以学生为中心的“做中学”转变,强化培养学生的工程能力和创新能力。经过多年实践,取得了一些经验,可为相关高校提供借鉴。  相似文献
