随着教育产业的迅速发展,私立、民办培训机构对教师的需求越来越大。一些发展较早、具备一定规模或是发展较成熟的机构都开始重视培养专职教师,组织和鼓励教师进行教学活动研讨和交流,个别机构甚至研发出一套把新手教师培养成熟手教师的培训方案和系统。本文分析了当前成人英语培训学校的现状和影响其专任教师专业发展的因素,提出了利用反思性理论促进成人英语培训机构教师专业发展的模式和实现途径。  相似文献

University teacher training has become an important topic in recent years due to the curricular and methodological reforms introduced by the Bologna process. Despite its acknowledged importance, evaluations have been limited to measures of participants’ satisfaction, and little is known about its impact on teaching practices. This study seeks to analyse the effects of the different delivery methods used during workshops that aim to enhance academic teachers’ pedagogical competence and teaching practices. Moreover, the study analyses to what extent individual characteristic and job requirement also have an effect on training outcomes. The study draws on data collected through a self-reported questionnaire administered to academic teachers two years after they participated in training workshops at a Spanish university (n?=?204). The results show that specific delivery methods have a significant effect on the outcome variables, especially those related to the design of learning activities and assessment tools.  相似文献

England's Training and Development Agency for Schools (TDA) requires that students, in order to qualify for teacher status, must undertake the study of law. This article reviews the TDA standards and considers its rationale for the selection of law. Such selection and the need, if any, to study law are contrasted with texts written for teachers wishing to study law. It is evident that the need to study law is now even greater because of the increased role that regulations play, particularly with regards to children's rights, and the willingness of parents to challenge decisions. Empirical research was undertaken to review the initial level of legal knowledge of trainee teachers. This indicated that there is a need for a robust approach to law as there is evidence of trainees' confusion about such matters. The article recommends that there should be greater emphasis given to enabling students to further their studies through understanding legal principles, that some subjects should be given greater priority in initial training whilst others, though introduced to students, could be left to the induction period. It is also of concern that the current approach to the subject ignores its potential for problem based learning and the use of case material.  相似文献

It is postulated that schools do not address seriously enough the issue of staff socialization and that lessons can be learned from successful American business organizations. The stages of socialization are indicated and the relevance of each stage for schools is analysed.
