数字化的影像采集、处理、传播和接收过程给新闻摄影带来革命性的变化。近年来,世界新闻摄影领域图片采集过程越来越平民化。非专业的市民摄影记者的出现对专业新闻摄影工作者形成冲击;先前由传媒专业人士控制的话语格局被打破;手机在促进网络移动化的同时,使传受实现合一;而网络和手机屏幕式阅读方式正悄然改变着新闻图片的编辑、呈现和观看规律,进而使新闻摄影本身发生改变。  相似文献

In the open marketplace of visuals where the most valued photographs “rise to the top” via tweets, likes, and retweets rather than being dictated by professionals, the study of what makes an image go really social is merited. One occurrence during which professional photojournalism and nonprofessional photography truly coexist, intermingle, and blur is that of a natural disaster. A body of research exists that has examined the visual framing of disasters, but none has addressed how these differently framed photos go social online or by whom. In this study, 1,078 Twitter photos shared by professional media outlets and nonprofessional tweeters were examined to see what portrayals of photos are elevated in the network. Established frames and new frames were examined: depictions of people, emotional hierarchy, novelty, victims, ordinary people, uniforms, emergency professionals, valence, pragmatic, human interest, and political. The results add empirical evidence to the different ways that professional members of media and other visual sharers understand, visually communicate, and react to disaster and add to the visual framing literature an element of really social visual framing.  相似文献

Its contents can be changed, commented and updated by everyone, under certain restrictions, and is therefore called a “LIVING TEXTBOOK.” According to the interest of the reader non-relevant information can be screened off. He can immediately find out what has already been done in a particular subject. Using both quantitative and interpretive approaches, this article provides an in-depth analysis of the changing representations of the border region in the newspapers of San Diego and Tijuana over the last decade. The major daily newspapers, the San Diego Union-Tribune, and El Mexicano, have been sampled over a 10-year period. For the Union-Tribune, photo-journalistic coverage evolves in relationship to changing political realities, though the images may tend toward a more polarized reading than the text. Initially the photographs in the Union-Tribune depict the border as boundary. By 1998 increased emphasis on regional trade is reflected in the photojournalistic coverage. Until 2000, coverage in El Mexicano is much more static, always representing the border as bridge from the perspective of Mexican official culture. Comparative analysis of the representational strategies used in both cities suggests alternatives that cross borders rather than reinforce them.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

In January, 2018, the global anti-sexual violence and anti-sexual harassment movement – popularly known as #MeToo – had its Chinese nascence. This study drew upon the theory of connective actions to investigate how digital technologies shift the way in which feminist activism takes place. Both quantitative and qualitative analyses were employed to systematically analyse over 36,000 online articles related to the campaign. The study identified 48 cases of sexual violence and harassment allegations. Findings from time series analysis show that China's #MeToo campaign first emerged within educational institutions before gradually spreading to other sectors of society. Based on qualitative findings from the ten most controversial cases, this paper identifies a series of counter-censorship strategies. The study of how the #MeToo movement in China emerged, adapted, and grew within an authoritarian context reveals unique insights into how connective actions traverse various platforms and cultural contexts. Methodologically, this study demonstrates how mixed methods can be utilised to study connective actions on social media in China.  相似文献

“质疑”既是传播者符合传播规律的职业行为模式 ,又是传播者履行社会责任和功能必备的品格。质疑的品格要求传播者能够从事物的发展变化中敏锐地发现问题、及时地提出问题、合理地分析问题 ,并在关键时刻正确发出预警信号 ,确保社会平稳发展。质疑不仅是传播者个体应有的品格 ,还应成为新闻媒介整体的品格 ;质疑并不是揭露性、曝光类报道的“专利” ,在政策宣传、舆论引导中同样需要质疑。但是 ,质疑品格长期以来并未得到新闻媒介应有的重视 ,本文旨在通过解读“质疑”的内涵 ,明确“质疑”的适用范围和实施方法 ,为新闻媒介履行职业责任、发挥社会功能拓展新的思路。  相似文献

正1991年,冲绳县教育委员会与中国第一历史档案馆签署了关于学术交流的长期合作协议,双方拟通过公布档案史料、出版史料汇编、举办学术研讨会、出版论文集、开展学者互访等形式,促进中琉历史关系的研究,并以此为契机,找回自己丢失的历史。1992年,双方共同举办的首届清代中琉历史关系研讨会在冲绳首府那霸市召开。此后,每两年轮流在北京与冲绳两地举办,至今已举办11届。两国学者在研讨会上提交的论文编入会后  相似文献

The growing number of transfer students on college and university campuses presents a challenge to academic libraries. For years, these libraries have taught students information literacy skills to enhance their abilities to locate, evaluate, and use information in order to be successful students as well as lifelong learners. At many libraries, both direct from high school and transfer students are taught these skills together, without the recognition that either of them has special or diverse needs. Several studies over the years have concluded that the information needs of transfer students differed from those of their native counterparts and stress the importance for separate instruction. A recent survey of some Ohio academic libraries by the authors revealed that the vast majority of these libraries do not provide separate instruction for transfer students. This article, therefore, calls for a dialogue among librarians to continue to discuss this topic and consider developing instructional programs to meet the needs of transfer students.  相似文献
