完善大学英语语篇教学之我见

语篇教学是目前大学英语教学中比较流行的教学方法，它有许多突出的优点，但笔者通过分析目前普通高校大学生的英语水平现状后，认为纯粹的语篇教学法还不完全适合我国普通大学英语教学，从而提出应将语篇教学方法同传统的大学英语教学方法结合起来，取长补短，提高大学英语教学质量。

一、语篇理论及其重要性 语篇理论并不是一个新兴的理论，从20世纪60年代至今它在外语教学中已经得到了广泛的应用。80年代中期，国外的一些语言学家提出了语篇教学大纲的设想。很多国内的语言学家将它应用于英语教学的许多方面，这符合《大学英语教学大纲》中规定的“不仅要重视句子水平的语言训练，还要逐步发展在语篇水平上进行交际的能力”的原则。外语教学不能仅局限于教授词汇、句子，而且应该注意培养学生语篇分析的能力。近年来随着四六级考试题型发生的变化，大学英语教学的侧重点更是向语篇分析能力方向上倾斜。哈里斯（Z．Haris）曾在《语篇分析（Discourse Analysis）》一文中提到：语言不是存在于零散的词或旬中，而是存在于连接着的（connected）语篇中。从而我们得出一个结论：语篇教学的重点应具体的放在语篇水平的意义连贯形式也称意连（coherence）的处理上。
