艺术疗法的形式及其作用机制探析

艺术疗法是目前国际上影响较为广泛的一种新型有效的心理治疗方法,其形式多样,效果显著,在心理治疗、心理辅导和心理健康教育等领域正日益发挥着其不可替代的作用。文章就艺术疗法的概念和形式进行简要的介绍,并对其中几种影响较大的艺术疗法及其作用机制进行了探析。     

简短疗法：一种成人心理咨询与治疗的新技术

简短疗法是社会建构主义心理学的意识观在成人咨询与治疗领域的具体实践之一,它是一种以寻找解决问题的方法为核心的心理咨询与治疗技术。简短疗法从理论上消解病理心理的本体论地位,重新诠释了心理咨询与治疗过程,并提出重建成人来访者和治疗师的关系,提倡让成人来访者运用自己的能力及经验来改变自身的意识经验,达到问题的解决。     

A Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy Approach for College Students

Abstract

This article explores the need for university counseling centers (UCCs) to implement brief therapies and describes one such treatment, intensive short-term dynamic psychotherapy (ISTDP), as a particularly viable therapeutic approach in this setting. Because ISTDP is not appropriate for all students seeking therapy, a careful assessment of the client is conducted prior to deciding which treatment approach is best suited for the client. The different restructuring techniques that comprise ISTDP are discussed. The article ends with a brief vignette from a therapy session with a student involving ISTDP techniques.     

Common Dilemmas in Learning Short-Term Psychodynamic Psychotherapy (STPP)

The present paper reviews critical issues involved in the learning and supervision of Short-Term Psychodynamic Psychotherapy (STPP). Though interest and demand for brief treatment formats has burgeoned, systematic instruction in these modalities is seen as minimal. While a college counseling center setting is particularly well suited for implementing brief dynamic therapy, there are a variety of training issues which must be addressed when learning this treatment modality. Aspects of STPP most commonly causing treatment dilemmas are highlighted.     

Client Pretreatment Characteristics as Predictors of Outcome in Brief Therapy for Bulimia

An overview for college counselors of the literature on bulimia treatment outcomes is presented for purposes of screening, treatment, and referral. Pretreatment characteristics that seem amenable to success in brief therapy are outlined, as are those that do not lead to a positive outcome.     

Clinical Assessment at College Counseling Centers: The Consultant‐on‐Duty Model

The consultant‐on‐duty (COD) clinical consultation model maximizes efficient use of services, is distinct from other university counseling center (UCC) services, and precedes therapy. This model enables clinicians to ensure optimal fit between client need and type of UCC services provided, including brief therapy. The 4 objectives of the COD model include quick access to initial consultation, management of treatment expectations, collaborative treatment decisions, and planning for client assistance.

The documentation of distance education: a personal view

Following a brief account of the work of the Open University International Documentation Centre on Distance Learning, different forms of documentation in distance education: books, materials produced in connection with distance teaching programmes, journals and journal articles, and report literature, are identified and described. The central focus of the article is a critique of the treatment of the literature of distance education by two ERIC international bibliographical services. Proposals are made to survey existing bibliographical provision worldwide.     

Chapter 11: Brief Therapy with a Grieving Grad Student

Summary

This chapter examines the confluence of bereavement, cultural competence, and incest as experienced in the brief treatment of a Cambodian-born clinical psychology graduate student. Paradigms for end-setting in short-term therapy, approaches to grieving, the complications of culturally different values and a history of sexual abuse by the deceased are described.

The behavioral treatment of school phobia: A critical review

This paper is a critical review of the studies that have applied behavioral techniques in the treatment of school phobia. After a brief theoretical discussion, this work proceeds to note the conspicuous absence of any studies designed to assess either the relative efficacy of behavior therapy in comparison to other types of therapy or the different effects of various behavioral treatments. An in-depth analysis of reported case studies dichotomized into those using classical conditioning elements and those using operant learning ones reveals that both approaches indicate success. However, some blurring between treatment modalities, both theoretically and empirically, is noted, thus bringing into question the precision of estimating the efficacy of treatments of different approaches. Suggestions for future research focus on both large scale studies and the need to apply distinct treatments firmly allied to theoretical models.

Helping adolescents with shyness: Applying the Japanese Morita therapy in shyness counselling

Summary Adolescence, being a period of rapid change and development, is often associated with experiences of turmoil and anxiety. Shyness is common as the adolescent attempts to explore boundaries, gain self-knowledge, and form an identity. An approach successful in treating this type of nervous pre-occupation is Morita therapy. This article describes how Morita therapy, in the form of Morita counselling, was applied in treating 12 shy adolescents seen in 3 groups. Four brief counselling sessions were conducted. The aim of treatment was not to rid the adolescent of shyness but to have them experience accomplishment and be productive despite anxiety symptoms. The main concepts presented were: action can be taken despite experiencing anxiety, emotions cannot willfully be controlled but behaviour can be chosen, and shyness is a reflection of greater sensitivity to life and can serve in a positive way. Positive treatment effects were observed on reported cognitive and behavioural measures and verified by behavioural counts documented. In conclusion, the adolescents appeared to have gained a more positive outlook on their shyness and an awareness of personal control through choice of action. By providing a concrete mechanism for approaching the shyness difficulty, Morita counselling, even in a brief number of sessions, has the potential for making an impact on this age group helping to spare them the anguish of social withdrawal and isolation.
