Shakespeare is one of the most brilliant playwrights and poets in the Middle Ages. Shakespeare’s sonnets created during 1592 to 1598 is not only one of the greatest achievements of his, but also a great leap forward to sonnet itself. With the development of sonnets, Chinese poets begin to learn from western traditional sonnets. Among these poets, Bai Ma is a typical representative. This thesis aims to make a comparison between western traditional sonnets and Chinese sonnets to find out their similarities and dissimilarities through studying Shakespeare’s and Bai Ma’s respective magnum opuses, and to further promote the literary communication of the East-West. 相似文献

This article reviews the significance of the contributions of Ernst von Glasersfeld to research in science education, especially
through his theoretical contributions on radical constructivism. As a field shaper, Glasersfeld’s subversive ideas catalyzed
debate in the science education community and fuelled transformation of many facets including research methods, ways of thinking
about teaching and learning, curriculum, and science teacher education. Perturbations emanating from the debates on constructivism
forged new pathways that led to the development and use of many of the sociocultural frameworks employed by authors in Cultural
Studies of Science Education.

In 2004 Tobin was recognized by the National Science Foundation as a Distinguished Teaching Scholar and by the Association for the Education of Teachers of Science as Outstanding Science Teacher Educator of the Year. Prior to commencing a career as a teacher educator, Tobin taught high school science and mathematics in Australia and was involved in curriculum design. His research interests are focused on the teaching and learning of science in urban schools, which involve mainly African American students living in conditions of poverty. A parallel program of research focuses on coteaching as a way of learning to teach in urban high schools. Recently Tobin published a book with Wolff-Michael Roth entitled Teaching to learn: A view from the field and edited two volumes entitled The culture of science education: Its history in person and Science, learning, and identity: Sociocultural and cultural-historical perspectives. ABSTRACTThis study investigates YouTube’s beauty community, an online group of women who make videos about makeup products and techniques. The videos contain makeup application instructions and challenge ideas about what is “usable” procedural discourse. They sometimes defy conventions for high production quality. Moreover, storytelling and instruction are integral to the rhetorical work of these tutorials. The current cross-sectional study among 444 young Belgian women (Mage = 20.08; SD = 0.91) examined the influence of reality television exposure on tanning behavior, which is known to be a risk factor for the development of skin cancer among young women. In addition, it was explored whether the internalization of sun tan ideals from media content and self-objectification could explain this association. As such, this study introduced body image perspectives into media health research. A structural equation model revealed that watching reality television was related to the internalization of sun tan ideals and self-objectification. In turn, the internalization of sun tan ideals and self-objectification related to exposure to harmful UV radiation. This study therefore provides evidence for the explanatory value of both mechanisms in the relationship between reality television and UV exposure. Implications for skin cancer prevention campaigns are discussed. 相似文献

The philosophy of radical behaviourism remains misunderstood within the field of adult education. Contributing to this trend is the field’s homogeneous behaviourist interpretation, which attributes methodological behaviourism’s principles to radical behaviourism. The guiding principles and assumptions of radical behaviourism are examined to highlight distinctions between the two philosophies. Significant differences are found in positions on private events, reductionism, mechanism, operationalism, and logical positivism. Examples of critical misunderstandings in adult education literature are detailed. The philosophy’s impact on adult education is discussed in three areas: instructional design, adult career and technical education, and human resource development. Recent advances in behaviour analytic research and practice are then presented to demonstrate its continued relevance to adult education. It is argued that a re-conceptualization of behaviourism is needed to position radical behaviourism as a unique adult education philosophy. 相似文献
