以功能翻译理论为依据,以斯皮瓦克《三位女性的文本与帝国主义批判》的三个译本中存在的误读、误译、曲解原作信息的问题为例,从原文的翻译目的、译文功能和译文读者等方面探讨西方文论的翻译标准。     

关联理论视角下的文化误译与译者主体性

关联理论是一种有关言语交际的理论,从其二次交际原理出发来探讨翻译过程中文化误译的原因,揭示了有意误译存在的必要性。译者的主体性在很大程度上决定着译品的优劣,有意误译和无意误译都是译者主体性的一种体现。为使原作者的交际意图为译文读者所识别,应再现原文的最佳关联,在跨文化交际中,有意误译虽不可避免,但应适度。     

翻译伦理视角下文学作品中的文化误译

以安德鲁·切斯特曼提出的五种翻译伦理模式为理论基础,通过对具体的文化误译示例进行分析,发现译者对于不同翻译伦理模式的合理选择在一定程度上造成了文学作品中文化误译现象的出现,因此提出译者应当摒弃对文化误译的传统偏见,理性客观地评析译文。翻译伦理为翻译研究者评价文化误译现象提供了动态的多维视角,同时也拓宽了翻译研究者对于“忠实”这一传统译论标准的认知视野。     

从权力话语理论看文化翻译中的译者主体性

翻译研究的文化转向使得译者主体性的研究得到应有的重视并逐渐走向深入。针对目前翻译实践中的文化误译现象,基于权力话语理论,提出文化的有意误译是译者主体性的表现,并且译者主体的能动性必然受制于权力话语。     

从文化语境的角度理解译者的有意误译及其创造性叛逆

长期以来,文学翻译中对译者的有意误译,即译者的创造性叛逆一直持彻底的否定态度,认为译者乃隐形之人也,翻译应亦步亦趋地再现原文的精神。但是,在真正的翻译实践中,译者这一主体,却一直在进行着有意识的叛逆性活动。本文拟从文化语境的角度出发,对译者的有意误译进行分析,指出有意误译不但不可避免,而且在文化传播当中还能起到一定的积极意义。     

有意误译中译者主体性的发挥——关联理论视角下的实例探析

本文在关联理论的视角下结合具体实例,从原文明示度的调整,最佳关联的寻找和关联翻译策略的选择这三个方面,分析有意误译中的译者主体性。有意误译正是译者在最佳关联的指引下,为获得译文与译文读者之间的最佳关联而主动积极选择的结果,是译者主体性发挥的充分体现。

通过分析文学翻译和日常口语翻译中常见的译例,探讨了译者的有意误译这一方法的具体原因及其价值。通过对误译的分类并具体分析的语言、文化及时代背景,认为应把“有意误译”视作可供译者选择的翻译方法之一,它是译者经过谨慎考虑之后作出的选择。     

从文化误译看译者的再创造——解读霍克思译《红楼梦》

在原语中心论的影响下,追求译文完全“忠实”于原文的传统思想长期占据翻译理论的中心位置。因此,误译常常被斥为“劣译”。随着国内翻译研究范式的逐渐转变,译者的创造意识受到了越来越多的重视,误译,特别是文化误译也具有了重要的研究价值。本文试图从接受理论、哲学阐释学等方面探讨了文学翻译中误译的不可避免性,并以霍克思译《红楼梦》出现的部分文化误译为例证,阐明了文化误译与译者的再创造之间的关系和意义。     

论有意误译中的意识形态与文化过滤因素

误译在翻译实践中是不可避免的。有意误译是译者有意为之的一种翻译策略,是语言因素和文化因素综合作用的结果。从文化角度考虑,意识形态操纵了翻译策略,译者为特定的政治立场服务而有意政治误译。文化过滤为有意误译提供了文化理据,成为原语文化被译语文化接受的有效途径。有意文化误译的手段有文化形象替换、文化信息的丢失、省译和删节。

近年来,随着经济的飞速发展和政治的不断完善,中国与英美国家的跨文化交流日益增多。于是涌现出大量英文汉译、汉文英译的翻译作品。在这些作品中也不乏误译现象的存在,因此我们有必要从有意误译与无意误译两方面分析误译产生的原因,通过大量翻译实例的对比,提出读者在读译文时要了解原文和译文的作者所处的时代背景以及译者在译文时所注意的事项。
