Antithesis is the deliberate arrangement of contrasting words, ideas, or the balancing of one thing against another opposing or contrasting thing. what is contrasted may be words, phrases, clauses, sentenees even paragraphs or whole sections of a literary work ; but antithesis most often consists ha the contrast between two parts of a sentence. When we say“ Art is long ; life is short,“ “He was a good teacher but a bad student“ we are employing antithesis.     

ROLE-PLAY IN FOYEIGN LANGUAGE LEARNING

In this article I would Iike to suggest that not only is 'role-play' useful in the learning of language but it is essential. Coming from a theatre background I am particularly concerned with language as a means of rem communication. When we are Children we learn our native language unconsciously; we learn grammar by having our mistakes corrected by our parents and by the necessity of making ourselves understood. But, when we are learning a second language our ability to learn unconsciously is impaired by our adult minds. However, we can simulate the way a child learns by learning the second language in-countrg but this is often difficult to achieve. So, 'role-play' must be the next best thing.

Li Xiang Runs her own Magazine

Recently,many women artists have become interested in running online magazines. Xu Jinglei(徐静蕾) and Chen Luyu(陈鲁豫) have set such examples. Now Li Xiang(李湘) is also having a try. It is reported that Ms Li has invested a large sum of money in her magazine which is focused on women’s feelings and emotions.
