浅析seem的用法

seem是连系动词,意为“似乎”、“好像”、“看上去”,用来表示说话人内心的、有一定依据的推测、判断或猜想。其用法如下:一、“seem(to be)+n(作表语)”,此结构中的to be可省略,但名词前一般应有形容词修饰。例如:Itseem s(to be)the best answer.这似乎是最好的回答。H is father seem s(to be)a kind m an.他父亲看上去像个和善的人。Itseem ed(to be)an interesting book.这好像是本有趣的书。二、“seem(to be)+adj(作表语)”,此结构中的to be也可省略。如果to be后面是afraid,asleep,awake等表语形容词,则to be不能省略。例如:The …     

对learning to be的“学会自主”内涵的解读

通过对《学习——内在的财富》提出的“四大教育支柱”即learning to know、 learning to do、 learning to live together、 learning to be的逻辑关系及其对learning to be的具体解释进行考察可见，《学习——内在的财富》中的learning to be的含义不同于《学会生存》中含义广泛的“大全”的learning to be,故不应再译为“学会生存”,而应译为“学会独立自主”。为了避免产生达尔文主义和泛道德主义的歧义，《学会生存》中的learning to be也可译为同样具有广泛含义的“大全”的“学会成人”。至于learning to be中的learning是译为“学会”还是“学习”,应根据强调的重点而定。
