NMET单项填空历来是广大考生投入劳动量相对较大而又往往最令考生倍感遗憾的一种题型。不少考生普遍认为:’99NMET单项填空(B节)难度大,区分度小,不少题目莫衷一是。经过探究,笔者认为’99NMET单项填空(B节)较好地体现了NMET知识命题原则:保证知识覆盖面广,尽可能增加综合化及语境因素。能力层次的考查履盖了(1)语法、习语的识记、理解和运用。(2)基础知识在语境条件中的辨别和运用。(3)识记理解习语固定搭配能力。(4)英语交际能力。综合起来,有以下几个方面的特点。一、语法运用更趋灵活性不少考生反映’99NMET单项填空(B节)不少题目题干不易理解,义项选择糊里糊涂,尤其是一些语法类题月,看似容易,失分率却极高。考生的这种体会恰好表明了命题者语法知识考查题设计的巧妙之处。那种死扣语法,只记条条框框的考生是无法拿到分数的。语法类题难度较大的有7、10、11、13、15小题,在此就部分试题予以剖析。
