A new type of transitional filter based on summation of polynomials

A new transitional filter based on the sum of filter polynomials is proposed and discussed. It shall be shown that the approach allows for greater flexibility in adjusting passband and stopband gain shapes. The sensitivity of the filter transfer function is analyzed and related to the approximation problem. Some new modified classical filters are also derived including maximally flat (Butterworth) and equiripple (Chebyshev) types. Several examples of combining Butterworth, Chebyshev and sync-tuned filters are presented and compared to those obtained using the conventional product method. The new transitional filter provides an alternative to other forms and provides a means for isolating the effects of non-uniformly distributed pole angles.     

A new active R bandpass filter

A new active R filter which realizes a second order bandpass transfer function is given. The network employs only resistors and two operational amplifiers. Sensitivities to all passive and active circuit components are very low. Design equations are given and experimental results are also included.

A new type of contact halftone screen

The development of an improved type of contact screen is described. By using a transparent dye for the screen image, and also in some cases for a continuous-tone negative for use with the screen, contrast control is obtained with color filters, and increased resolution of detail results. Improved tone reproduction is incorporated in the gradation of the screen dots. The greatest improvement in quality is obtained in deep-etch offset printing, where it is convenient to make a highlight screen positive from a magenta negative by contact through an orange-red contact screen.     

A demo device for new approach of wave power generation

In cooperation with Chuanshiyu Machinery Co., Ltd., researchers with the CAS Institute ofElectrical Engineering （IEE） have worked out a demonstration device that employs a novel approach to converting the energy harbored by sea waves into electricity.     

A simple form synthesis of linear time-variant digital filter via spectral decomposition of its impulse response

The paper describes a new technique to synthesize a finite impulse response of linear time-variant (LTV) digital filter. First, a finite impulse response is decomposed into a sum of products of two orthogonal sequences. The direct implementation of the decomposed impulse response leads to the parallel connection of linear time-invariant (LTI) digital filters, followed by time-varying multipliers. A simple filter structure is obtained by properly modifying the sequences to realize the parallel form structure as a cascade connection of first- or second-order recursive LTI filters. The structure is easy to implement on a computer and saves computation time. Numerical examples illustrating the technique are included.     

A new perspective to automatically rank scientific conferences using digital libraries

Citation analysis is performed in order to evaluate authors and scientific collections, such as journals and conference proceedings. Currently, two major systems exist that perform citation analysis: Science Citation Index (SCI) by the Institute for Scientific Information (ISI) and CiteSeer by the NEC Research Institute. The SCI, mostly a manual system up until recently, is based on the notion of the ISI Impact Factor, which has been used extensively for citation analysis purposes. On the other hand the CiteSeer system is an automatically built digital library using agents technology, also based on the notion of ISI Impact Factor. In this paper, we investigate new alternative notions besides the ISI impact factor, in order to provide a novel approach aiming at ranking scientific collections. Furthermore, we present a web-based system that has been built by extracting data from the Databases and Logic Programming (DBLP) website of the University of Trier. Our system, by using the new citation metrics, emerges as a useful tool for ranking scientific collections. In this respect, some first remarks are presented, e.g. on ranking conferences related to databases.

传统的专利战略理论难以有效解释专利交易市场上出现的新兴战略模式.通过考察国外专利经营公司采取的进攻型和防御型专利集聚两种战略类型,本文提出了"专利集中战略"的概念框架并对其内涵予以界定.专利集中战略是开放式创新和专业化分工共同作用的必然选择,也反映出公司对专利价值认识的逐渐深化过程.其演化特质体现在:一是从单项专利到专利组合;二是从单个企业到专利联盟;三是从专利产品到专利经营.面对专利集中战略带来的机遇和风险,我国有必要在政策层面加以有效应对.     

构建数智安全新格局 保障新发展格局

随着党的二十大以后我国进入新发展时代,数智技术的快速发展和广泛应用激活了新一轮经济发展潜力,也给经济社会发展带来了新的安全挑战。文章首先分析了国际与国内新形势下新发展格局的特点,剖析了新发展格局下数智安全风险挑战,涉及微观层面的技术安全、个人安全,以及宏观层面的经济安全、社会安全、文化安全。在此基础之上,文章提出了构建数智安全新格局的基本方法论,给出了一个涵盖数智技术自身安全、保障数智安全的数智技术、数智安全法律法规和政策3个方面数智安全新格局的基本架构。最后,文章探讨了数智安全新格局和新发展格局之间的辩证与螺旋式协同演进关系,为在新的时代保证经济社会的康持续发展提供指导。     

基于MATLAB与FPGA的动态补偿滤波器设计

本文以压力的测试为背景,围绕压力传感器的动态特性研究及补偿这一主题,运用辫识建模和动态补偿技术,并进行了实验研究和计算机仿真研究,根据测得的实验数据建立了传感器的动态数学模型,在此基础上分析了压力传感器的动态特性,设计了动态补偿数字滤波器,明显提高了压力传感器动态响应的快速性和展宽了工作频带.最后本文运用了DSP Builder提供的模块搭建IIR滤波器模型,生成VHDL语言,下载到FPGA中,较好的实现了动态补偿数字滤波器.     

A new design method based on artificial bee colony algorithm for digital IIR filters

Digital filters can be broadly classified into two groups: recursive (infinite impulse response (IIR)) and non-recursive (finite impulse response (FIR)). An IIR filter can provide a much better performance than the FIR filter having the same number of coefficients. However, IIR filters might have a multi-modal error surface. Therefore, a reliable design method proposed for IIR filters must be based on a global search procedure. Artificial bee colony (ABC) algorithm has been recently introduced for global optimization. The ABC algorithm simulating the intelligent foraging behaviour of honey bee swarm is a simple, robust, and very flexible algorithm. In this work, a new method based on ABC algorithm for designing digital IIR filters is described and its performance is compared with that of a conventional optimization algorithm (LSQ-nonlin) and particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm.
