激活医专语文评价体系中的能力因子

我国的语文教育中过于强调对语文知识的记忆,而忽视实际语言交际能力的训练。传统评价实质还只停留在知识评价层面,"能力因子"处于沉睡状态没有被激活,无法完全体现学生的语言运用能力。从考试内容、方法、形式、目的等方面入手,制定以知识、技能和态度为框架的评价体系,激活语文能力因子,使其活跃,从多方面综合地评价学生的语文能力。     

谈英语歌曲在英语语言教学中的运用

英语歌曲在交际法英语教学中是一种非常重要的教学手段，为语言教师提供了大量丰富多彩的语言材料，他们不仅能用于有目的的语言训练，而且可以最大程度地激发学生学习英语的兴趣，提高学生主动的参与英语语言学习的意识。

全数字化语言实验室系统环境下的医学英语教学研究

为了将全数字化语言实验室系统（Newclass）应用于医学英语教学研究,探求构建全新教学模式,以改善低效的教学现状。挑选了实验班与对照班各62人。全数字化语言实验室系统环境下进行医学英语教学,能够提高学生的语言应用能力（听说、词汇、摘要写作）与自主学习能力,但对阅读理解能力提高并不显著。     

试论中国英语教材的评价标准与新修订的高中英语教材

新的《高中英语教材(Revised SEFC)》是在中英联合编写的SEFC(1996)的基础上由人教社进行修订，并于2003年秋季学期在全国推广使用。本文探讨了中国英语教材的评价标准问题，分析了SEFC产生的社会背景，并依据标准对RSEFC(2003)进行了分析评价。最后提出了使用R.SEFC的四条原则。     

GLOBE in the Czech Republic: a program evaluation

The article presents results of the evaluation of the GLOBE program (Global Learning and Observations to Benefit the Environment) in the Czech Republic. The evaluation explores the implementation of the program in schools and its impact on research skills. Four hundred and sixty six pupils, aged 13, from 28 different schools participated in the evaluation. The evaluation revealed problems with the implementation of the program in schools. The majority of pupils usually collect data and work with worksheets in the program. The other activities, such as the analysis and comparison of collected data or planning GLOBE activities, are done only occasionally or never. Although one of the main goals of the program is to develop pupils' research skills, the program had no measurable effect on this outcome. According to these results, changes in the way the program is implemented are needed. Recommendations for further program development and evaluation are discussed.     

形成性评价与终结性评价并重高职英语测评体系构建

高职英语作为专业课程的辅助课程,主要体现出其应用能力,沿用原有的终结式考试已经不能体现出学生对本门课技能掌握情况。鉴于此教师对考核方式进行改革,加强考核引导和过程控制,注重学生英语应用能力培养及提高,建立基于过程控制的高职英语课程形成性考核与终结性考核并重的考核体系,深化高职英语课程改革,促进高职学生英语应用能力的提高。     

Policy versus ground reality: secondary English language assessment system in Bangladesh

Any policy reform in education is highly effective when it is planned and implemented ‘holistically’ and yet, it is the most challenging way forward. Many countries in Asia have reformed their English language policies and syllabi in the last two decades due to the increasing value of the language worldwide. Motivated by a ‘communicative approach’ to English language teaching, Bangladesh was one of the countries that launched such a reform in the 1990s. However, this reform has been criticised for imposing the changes on teachers without preparing them sufficiently. More importantly, there is limited evidence as to how much the secondary English language assessment system is aligned with the changes introduced in the curriculum. In order to explore this gap, a medium-scale study was conducted in 38 secondary schools in Bangladesh, following a mixed methods approach. The findings highlighted a ‘mismatch’ between the intended English language learning outcomes and current assessment practices, including the resulting challenges faced by the teachers. This paper argues that language education reform is likely to fail if the assessment system is not aligned with the curriculum.

禁忌语是言语交际中被禁止使用的某些不好的言语.然而交际过程中某些客观存在的事物和理念又不能够避免,因此人们采用了多种手段来禁忌某些言语,从而产生了委婉含蓄的表达方式,形成了委婉语.言语禁忌的手段大致可以分为修辞手段、语法手段和语用手段.     

Evaluating the impact of an academic teacher development program: practical realities of an evidence-based study

This study aimed to assess the impact of an entire academic teacher development programme at a Midwestern masters comprehensive university in the United States over a period of five years by examining changes in teaching and student outcomes of nine randomly selected programme participants. Researchers analysed syllabi, course evaluations, grade distributions, programme activity reports, interviews and vita, and concluded that the centre’s impact was greatest on tenure-track faculty who struggled with their teaching. Far more useful to future improvement, however, were the insights gained from reflection on study methods, the researchers’ emotional responses to their findings, their struggle to make sense of the data and grappling with the definition of ‘impact’. In this paper, the researchers share useful lessons learned and illustrate the difficulties inherent in evaluating academic development programmes, with a view to qualifying recommendations currently prevailing in the literature.

Using electronic portfolios to promote reflective thinking in language teacher education

This study aimed at investigating the role of electronic portfolios in fostering pre‐service teachers’ reflective thinking. The research was conducted with pre‐service English language teachers enrolled in a practicum course in an undergraduate teacher education programme in Turkey. The data were collected through e‐portfolios and interviews. The findings revealed that e‐portfolios gave participants a sense of ownership, fostered reflecting thinking, supported collaboration and allowed them to make connections between theory and practice. With the on‐going nature of the e‐portfolio, participants had the chance of developing and reviewing their portfolio artefacts whenever and wherever they wanted. Therefore, electronic portfolios allowed teacher candidates to reflect more on their own work and thus engage in on‐going professional development.     

新疆少数民族汉语教学评估体系构建研究

少数民族汉语教学是我国民族教育教学改革的重点,汉语教学评估体系也是教育体系不可或缺的组成部分。随着教学改革的不断深入,少数民族地区汉语教学评估体系也不断完善,但是,新疆少数民族汉语教学评估体系普遍存在指标不够细化、评估方法单一等问题。汉语教学评估体系的规范化、多元化仍有待加强。文章从少数民族地区汉语教学的角度出发,就汉语教学评估体系现状、问题进行了探讨,以期能为汉语教学发展完善提供参考依据。     

English as an International Language and English Teaching in China

This study discusses English as an international language and English teaching in China. Concerning this subject, the paper elaborates the following seven aspects: the concept and features of English as an international language, emergence of new varieties of Englishes, emergence of new varieties of Englishes, the impact of economic globalization on the scope of the English language, the controversy of English standardization and localization, English localization in China and the revelation of English globalization to English teaching.     

Clarificative evaluation of elementary level grammar program of a tertiary level preparatory class in Turkey

Although the general goals of the elementary level grammar program in a Language Preparatory Class at a Turkish university are stated, the outcomes bridging those goals and activities are not explicit, which hinders evaluation. Accordingly, this mixed-method case study, which includes several stakeholders, aims to investigate (1) underlying outcomes of the elementary level grammar program regarding assisting writing skills and learning activities, and (2) perceived achievability of the outcomes and the effectiveness of the learning activities to realize the outcomes. Utilizing the Delphi technique, an opinionnaire based on the Delphi technique and interview methods, the underlying long-term and short-term outcomes, activities, perceived achievability of the long-term and short-term outcomes, effectiveness of activities and other factors in the elementary level grammar program were identified and reported.
