新工科人才培养应该首先使学生掌握更为先进和扎实的自然科学理论知识。本研究以自然科学与工程科学的辩证关系为切入点,围绕本学科专业课程开展自然科学理论的教学实践。在新工科专业课程设计中,需加强工程科学专业知识与自然科学理论体系的融合联系,并做到三个“统一”。这些举措可以实现自然科学理论体系与新工科知识理论的完美构架,形成一套由自然科学理论驱动的新工科专业课程建设模式,使得我国的新工科建设更加适应未来产业变革的现实需求。  相似文献

Soft or socio-technical systems methodology promises much for the task of engineering education, note least the way in which it promotes an inherently interdisciplinary mode of thinking. For this reason it is being advocated as a desirable framework to be fully integrated into the curriculum of any training programme. In this paper we briefly outline the development of ‘systems thinking’ and the form it has taken in the study of work and organisations. Next we consider some of the reservations which social scientists have expressed about such modes of thought. Advances in information technology provide new tools and resources to optimize total life cycle of ships in terms of reliability, safety and the control of operating costs. Regulatory agencies and classification societies are moving towards risk-based/reliability-centered rule-making in the shipping industry. However, reliability, maintenance and risk assessment were not considered to be a part of the traditional Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering curriculum in the US. In this paper, the current status of existing curricula, accreditation requirements and new developments are presented. Finally, emerging needs of the maritime industry are discussed.  相似文献

The need for humanities in technical curricula can be explained in part by the impact technology has on our society. Engineers are the class of people who contribute most, and most directly to the changing face of the earth. So they should have at least an idea of the context they are working in. Humanities, on the other hand, have been on the loosing side since World War II. This calls for some reconsideration. The ever more urgent call for languages, management and law competencies for engineers is an expression for this. Humanities can and must play an important role in every well-balanced engineering curriculum.  相似文献

It is contended that engineering education in the United States is and has always been backward and of low quality compared to that in other countries, particularly Russia. Consequent low quality raises serious questions regarding ability to compete with the Communist world. Historical reasons for low quality are scrutinized as created by personality factors, financial matters, university policies, and federal policies. Significant differences between educators and practitioners in science and engineering are discussed. Specific practical proposals for action by federal and university agencies are given which can aid in reducing the serious shortage of welltrained engineers.  相似文献

经济转型和高教规模扩张使中国的工程教育有了很大的变化:主要成绩是规模扩大、高教普及、设施改善、学科发展、国际合作增加.而问题和不足主要体现在,科学导向,模式单一;竞相升格,层次模糊;实践缺乏,学生能力缺失;经费不足,经费配置欠妥;收费提高,困难学生增加;就业供需矛盾突出.在深入分析原因的基础上,分别从政府、学校、社会(包括企业)和国际合作四个方面提出了改进我国工程教育的的建议.  相似文献

现代工程的综合化要求现代工程师具有较好的人文素养,要求现代工程教育在科学教育的同时注重人文教育,现代工程教育是科学教育与人文教育的统一。高等学校的专业教学特别是工科专业教学存在着重视科学知识和技能教育,忽视科学品格、科学精神等人文素质培养的倾向。科学、全面的工科专业教学包括科学与人文两个方面,是科学教育与人文教育的融合。在工科专业教学中实施人文教育,教师是关键。  相似文献

Engineering education has more than 200 years of tradition in Hungary. Chemical engineers are trained at the Technical University of Budapest (TUB) and at the University of Veszprém. The curriculum of the TUB chemical engineering education is given. Undergraduate environmental engineering education is offered at the University of Miskolc, at the Janus Pannonius University in Pécs and at the University of Veszprém. Curricula of the latter two are given. The TUB has several environmental specialization opportunities for engineering students, but at present no separate undergraduate environmental engineering education is offered. Such a curriculum is now under preparation and will be introduced in 1998. Several technical colleges also offer environmental engineering education, where the duration of the training is 3 years. Postgraduate education is a very suitable form to add environmental knowledge to the existing engineering knowledge of graduate engineers. The TUB and the universities in Miskolc and Veszprém are all very active in this field.  相似文献
