圣诞老人的传说

每年的12月25日是圣诞节（Christrnas）。孩子们最爱过圣诞节了,因为他们能得到礼物（presents）。圣诞节里当然少不了圣诞老人（Santa Claus）。那么,圣诞老人到底是如何成为圣诞节主角的呢？     

圣诞老人的分身术

圣诞节快到了。每年圣诞节,安奇奇都会收到圣诞老人送的礼物。 安奇奇很纳闷：“全世界那么多小孩儿,圣诞老人怎么忙得过来？＂“他会分身术!”爸爸边说边比画,“就像孙猴子揪一把猴毛,轻轻一吹,噗——能变出成千上万个小猴子。”     

圣诞老人的故乡

你知道圣诞老人的故乡吗？这里还有一个典故呢！历史上传说，芬兰是最早迎接圣诞老人安居的故乡。芬兰和前苏联于1927年确定以拉普兰省“耳朵山”为两国通往北冰洋的国界线。芬兰的儿童故事大王玛尔库斯从中获得灵感。他在电台讲故事时说，圣诞老人和两万头驯鹿一起就住在这座“耳朵山”上，

圣诞老人的神秘传说

据史料记载，圣诞老人的原型是公元4世纪的圣尼古拉斯。有一种传说认为在他十多岁的时候父母双亡，给他留下一大笔财产。圣尼古拉生来就是个慷慨正直的人，还很关心穷人，给穷人家送去各种礼物、钱以及其他有用的物品。他一般都是在夜里秘密地做这些事，这样就没人知道，因为他并不想获得什么赞颂，只是想帮助别人。

The role of fantasy figures in the regulation of young children's behavior: Santa Claus,the Easter Bunny,and donations

The present study examined the influence of Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny on children's donations near the Easter season. Kindergarten and first-grade children were asked to tell stories about Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, or pets, for which they received nine pieces of gum. They were then encouraged to donate any amount of their gum to handicapped children. Main effects were found only for grade, with first-grade children donating significantly more than kindergarten children. In addition, a significant interaction was obtained between grade and type of story elicited from the child. This interaction revealed that for kindergarten children, the type of story failed to influence donations, whereas for first-grade children, stories referring to Santa Claus increased donations relative to stories told about the Easter Bunny or pets.

The Origins of Subjectivism

Abstract:

A pervasive and persistent subjectivist slogan concerning the nature of right action, uttered most commonly by new students of moral philosophy, is stated and its absurdity exposed. The sources of its pervasiveness and persistence are probed, and are found to lie in the confusion of an uncontroversial conceptual feature of morality with a superficially similar over‐estimation of the moral status of the individual conscience. The non‐primacy of the conscience is briefly demonstrated; and it is suggested that exposure of the sources of the slogan frees one from the tendency to be taken in by it.
