20世纪90年代女性文学战争叙事、知青叙事都趋于消沉，乡村叙事还是她们涉足的话题，都市叙事基本成为这一时期女性文学的主旋律，女性文学也就从性别压抑、性别遮蔽而真正走向繁荣。在西方女性主义思潮的催化和90年代多元文化的转型之外，女性叙事从本质上来说是摆脱不了原生的性别意识和母性思维。
