大众文化是指工业化、城市化、市场化社会中为普通民众生产,并为普通民众所参与和消费的一切物质、符号、观念和活动。大众文化,是伴随着工业化、都市化和市场化的历史进程,由于现代都市大众的出现,以及随着教育程度的提高而出现的具有读写能力大众的形成,特别是由于技术的进步所带来的大众传播媒介的出现,市场化的文化机制的形成,才逐步形成的具有明显消费主义意识形态的文化。大众文化这一概念最早出现在西班牙哲学家奥尔特加《民众的反叛》一书中。主要指的是一地区、一社团、一个国家中新近涌现的,被大众所信奉、接受的文化。  相似文献

与传统的文化形式相比 ,大众文化具有一种赤裸裸的商品性 ,市场需要是大众文化的惟一准则和终极目的 ,追求利润最大化为其根本目标 ;商业化的结果是对成本和生产效率的考虑 ,而运用流水线和标准化的方式更能降低成本 ,提高效率。这导致大众文化生产的标准化以及对个性的扼杀 ;从内容上讲 ,大众文化的内容具有平面化、浅薄、无深度等特点。它远离意识形态、理想主义和英雄主义 ,消解价值和意义 ,追逐平面化、享乐化  相似文献
