《现代汉语词典》第五版 (以下简称《现汉》 第五版)新近面市，这是辞书学 界的一件盛事。通过增收新词，删 减旧词，修改释义和例句，全面标 注词类等，《现汉》第五版在科学 性、规范性、准确性、实用性上又 有了明显的提升。 在语言三大要素中，词汇是 最活跃的因素，对原有释义进行 重新审定，是词典修订的重要内 容。《现汉》第五版的释义修订， 体现了《现汉》的优秀传统，即对 读者的高度责任心，严细的工作 作风，科学求实的创新精神。其释 义修订全面、深入、细致，成果颇 丰，但也存在某些值得商榷的地 方。本文仅就“W”部原有释义的 修订进行粗浅的评析，以供修订 者参考，以就正于各位读者。     

北海:告别"泡沫经济博物馆"

曾因“房地产热”遗留大量“烂尾楼”的北海市政府2004年11月30日刊发公告,将对10幢“烂尾楼”实施代为处置——由政府进行拍卖或有偿使用。在这之前,全市已有超过85%的“烂尾楼”项目投入了复工,这个被称为“泡沫经济博物馆”的城市正在抹去当年房地产热留下的泡沫。作为1992年那场震动全国的“房地产热”的产物,北海市的“烂尾楼”一直受到外界关注。它涉及当年来自国内外的众多投资者,关系到作为一个沿海开放城市的发展,更对考量宏观调控“迫降”过热经济的影响不无启示。
