百年回眸:中西图书馆文化交流

从翻译与考察、介绍与效仿、碰撞与吸收、“苏化”与“文革”及融合与创新5个时期回顾近百年来中西图书馆文化交流的发展历程。认为自恢复中国图书馆学会在国际图联的合法席位以来,中西图书馆文化交流已形成多层次、多渠道、多形式的全方位交流局面,预示着在未来的中西图书馆文化交流和图书馆国际化进程中,中国图书馆文化必将影响世界。     

图书馆海量信息存储系统模式的选择与设计——中南财经政法大学新图书馆信息存储系统

通过介绍中南财经政法大学新图书馆网络建设项目中海量信息存储系统的设计与实施,探讨面对图书馆成几何指数增长的数字信息资源,如何选择和设计能满足信息的存储访问、共享备份等需求的存储系统模式。同时介绍该馆在存储系统设计中提出的异地数据存储--建立校园网“数据中心”的方案,目前这一数据存储方式在国内高校中尚属首例。     

中国近代社会思潮对近代图书馆的孕育

认为中国近代图书馆事业的发展与近代社会思潮之间有着密切的关系,维新变法思潮促进了中国藏书楼向近代图书馆的转化。转化的主要标志是原有藏书楼的开放和新式藏书楼的出现。在中国民主科学思潮兴起期间,中国图书馆完成了由藏书楼向近代图书馆的全面转型,形成了“形似”的近代图书馆。此后,中国藏书楼才全面、完全地转变为真正意义上的近代图书馆。
