旅游高等教育与跨世纪旅游人才的培养

中国加入了WTO以后，旅游业面临着前所未有的机遇和挑战。重视和加强旅游人才的培养是中国旅游业当前的重要任务之一。作为旅游教育体系的排头兵——高等院校的旅游专业面临着如何尽快培养出高素质、高质量、复合型人才的严峻挑战。但是，旅游高等教育目前还存在着许多问题。所以，作提出了发展旅游高等教育相关的对策。     

一种滤除基线漂移和工频干扰的数字滤波算法

介绍了一种用于心电监护的数字滤波算法，对滤波器的设计，包括滤波原理、整系数数字滤波器的波型特征、实现方框图及10点平均数字滤波器进行了分析，并给出心电信号的滤波效果图。实验结果表明，该算法能有效滤除基线漂移和工频干扰，算法简单实用。     

表面处理工艺在修复脱粉机分配盘的应用

引进德国进口二手设备KSΦ5．7M干式脱粉机，经修复后用于潘三矿原煤脱粉；介绍了修复脱粉机分配盘组件的表面处理工艺过程和如何做好氧化处理前表面的准备、氧化处理、涂油等工序流程；使用效果表明，分配盘的耐比性和耐磨性较好，为修复进口脱粉机和推广脱粉工艺作了有益的尝试。

Which Techno-mathematical Literacies Are Essential for Future Engineers?

Due to increased use of technology, the workplace practices of engineers have changed. So-called techno-mathematical literacies (TmL) are necessary for engineers of the 21st century. Because it is still unknown which TmL engineers actually use in their professional practices, the purpose of this study was to identify these TmL. Fourteen semi-structured interviews were conducted with engineers with a background in different educational tracks in higher professional education (e.g. civil, chemical, biotechnical and mechanical engineering). As a result of the data analysis, 7 commonly used TmL are identified: data literacy, technical software skills, technical communication skills, sense of error, sense of number, technical creativity and technical drawing skills. Engineers also noted a discrepancy between their education and workplace needs; they characterized mathematics in their education as an island with limited relevance. These findings lead to recommendations for the future of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) in higher technical professional education that can help students learn STEM for the future.     

Differences in College Access and Choice Among Racial/Ethnic Groups: Identifying Continuing Barriers

This study focuses on the college application behaviors of students from various racial/ethnic groups in order to understand differences in access and college choice. Student characteristics, predispositions, academic abilities, and income levels were taken into account in our analyses. We analyzed data from the National Education Longitudinal Study (NELS) and the Beginning Postsecondary Student Longitudinal Study (BPS) and found significant group differences in preparation behaviors, college application behavior (number of colleges to which students applied), and attendance at their first choice of institution. The results of this study call attention to the need for campuses to evaluate the potential effects of policy decisions that may impact student choice for different populations of students.
