Caught Between Parents: Adolescents'' Experience in Divorced Homes

This study examined adolescents' feelings of being caught between parents to see whether this construct helps to explain (1) variability in their postdivorce adjustment and (2) associations between family/child characteristics and adolescent adjustment. Adolescents 10 to 18 years old (N = 522) were interviewed by telephone 4 1/2 years after their parents' separation. Feeling caught between parents was related to high parental conflict and hostility and low parental cooperation. Being close to both parents was associated with low feelings of being caught. The relation between time spent with each parent and feeling caught depended on the coparenting relationship. Adolescents in dual residence were especially likely to feel caught when parents were in high conflict, and especially unlikely to feel caught when parents cooperated. Feeling caught was related to poor adjustment outcomes. Parental conflict was only related to adjustment outcomes indirectly, through adolescents' feelings of being caught.

Non-organic failure to thrive: Implications of placement through analysis of videotaped interactions

This paper presents 6-month follow-up on a group of 16 infants hospitalized during the first months of life for non-organic failure to thrive (N-O FTT) and their mothers. Eight of these infants were placed in foster care and eight were returned home with their parents following hospitalization. The effects of placement on infant outcomes were examined through comparison of developmental scores and weight percentile changes, and the implications of foster care placements for mother-infant interactions were examined through analysis of patterns of interaction in videotaped sessions of feeding and play six months after hospital discharge. This analysis snowed that (1) mothers in both groups failed to make significant progress in resolving their own emotional or psychological conficts through treatment available; (2) weight and developmental status of the infants did not improve as expected in either group, and finally that (3) the patterns of interaction between mother and infant showed little change over time, and, regardless of placement at home or in foster care, remained concerning.     

民国教育界与出版界的互动及其影响——以王云五的人际交游为考察中心

中国近代出版业与新教育几乎同时起步,且从一开始便相辅相成,特别是民国时期教育界与出版界之间的合作互动对近代教育和出版的发展都产生了重要影响。王云五因其与近代中国最早成立的民营出版机构和最大的教育出版机构商务印书馆的特殊关系而人际交游颇广,其中他与胡适、朱经农、陶行知之间的交谊虽不尽相同,合作方式亦各异,但都具有突出的代表性。考察他们在教育和出版方面的交游始末,可为后人了解民国教育界与出版界的良性互动及其重要影响提供若干典型而生动的个案。     

Microarray-based identification of tomato microRNAs and time course analysis of their response to Cucumber mosaic virus infection

A large number of plant microRNAs (miRNAs) are now documented in the miRBase, among which only 30 are for Solanum lycopersicum (tomato). Clearly, there is a far-reaching need to identify and profile the expression of miRNAs in this important crop under various physiological and pathological conditions. In this study, we used an in situ synthesized custom microarray of plant miRNAs to examine the expression and temporal presence of miRNAs in the leaves of tomato plants infected with Cucumber mosaic virus (CMV). Following computational sequence homology search and hairpin structure prediction, we identified three novel tomato miRNA precursor genes. Our results also show that, in accordance with the phenotype of the developing leaves, the tomato miRNAs are differentially expressed at different stages of plant development and that CMV infection can induce or suppress the expression of miRNAs as well as up-regulate some star miRNAs (miRNA*s) which are normally present at much lower levels. The results indicate that developmental anomalies elicited by virus infection may be caused by more complex biological processes.

本文在研究当前大学校园无纸化办公网络安全模型的基础上，分析了大学校园无纸化办公网络的安全需求，基于信息安全和信息保障的思想，提出了大学校园无纸化办公网络安全策略模型。基于这一模型构建的大学校园无纸化办公网络系统，具有更好的安全性和健壮性。     

消除话语差异:网络时代思想政治教育工作的紧迫任务

话语差异是造成网络时代思想政治教育实效性不强的重要因素。网络思想政治教育的话语差异来自于大学生所构建的网络语言,有其技术、文化和社会原因;网络话语具有多样性和创造性、多变性、生活化、不规范性等特点。话语差异现象的产生体现了思想政治教育环境的重构,预示着思想政治教育模式的变革,体现了大学教育文化的转变。网络思想政治教育工作者要加强与大学生进行网上交往活动的主动性,掌握网络话语这一新的沟通媒介,与大学生展开思想交流和对话沟通,加强理论研究,改进思想政治教育方式方法,提高教育的实效性,伴随和引领青年学生健康成长。
