The effect of the surface functionalization and the electrolyte concentration on the electrical conductance of silica nanochannels

It is known that the conductance of nanochannels as a function of electrolyte concentration deviates from a linearly proportional relationship and approaches a value independent of the concentration as the electrolyte concentration is lowered. Most of the proposed models account for this behavior by considering a constant surface charge density and an ideal electrolyte solution. However, at low electrolyte concentrations, the ideal electrolyte approximation is no longer valid because the ions that result from the atmospheric carbon dioxide dissolution in water dominate the ionic concentration. In this paper, arrays of silica nanochannels were electrically characterized via conductance measurements. The conductance at low salt concentrations is modeled by a variable surface charge model that accounts for all ionic species in solution. This model was used to determine the variable surface charge of the bare silica nanochannels as well as of chemically modified nanochannels. The model correctly predicted the variation of the nanochannel conductance observed after silane (aminopropyldimethylethoxysilane) functionalization and single-strand DNA immobilization. Finally, pH modification of bulk KCl solutions was employed as an alternative method of changing the surface charge of silica nanochannels. Surface charge calculated from conductance measurements performed at different bulk pH values confirmed that the surface charge of the silica nanochannel walls is sensitive to the H⁺ concentration.

Motives for participation in Internet innovation intermediary platforms

Internet innovation intermediaries are the key role of an organization that affects on innovation processes and driving a potential contributor to economic development. Therefore, understanding what are the main motivations that drive the participation of users into these innovation intermediaries is increasingly relevant. This is why this paper aims to develop an understanding on this matter with UTAUT framework in order to examine the effects of major factors on behavioral intention and actual use of Internet innovation intermediaries and topic discussions. An empirical study was conducted in 10 Internet innovation intermediary platforms using a survey instrument targeting 735 respondents and mainly from China and Taiwan. The findings show that there is a significant relationship between facilitating conditions and usage behavior proving that intermediaries can influence the usage of Internet innovation intermediary platforms. The theoretical and practical implications of the study are discussed, offering recommendations and future research directions.     

R&D产业内涵探讨和耦合机制研究

本文通过追溯R&D产业化的演进过程,深入探讨了R&D产业的本质内涵,发现市场导向的R&D产品交易是R&D产业形成的重要标志.R&D产业是以R&D活动为基础,向市场提供具有创意性质的R&D产品作为交易品的经济活动和经济联系.在R&D市场化和产业化过程中,存在两种耦合机制:一是R&D产业价值链中的产品价值创造耦合,另一个是为实现R&D产品创造的产业组织集群创新耦合.我国研发产业发展的战略重点是构建以R&D产业化网络为基础的枢纽-网络结构,区域研发产业发展的政策要点是实施有效的区域知识管理.     

校企合作共建中职建筑类校内实训基地的理性思考

随着中职学校招生规模的扩大和企业结构类型的变化,为了全面提升中职学校的实践教学水平以及为社会输送更多的复合型应用人才,校企合作共建校内实训基地已成为深化中职教育的必然选择.而目前,中职学校校内校企合作型实训基地建设不足的问题仍是中等职业教育领域的一个薄弱环节.笔者将对此进行系统的理性思考.

从经济学角度看,高职示范校建设的目的在于带动当地经济、拉动其他高职院校发展,发挥扩散效应,强调以"工学结合"为人才培养模式特征,突出专业群建设。从经济学视角,有助于理解示范性院校建设的目的及建设标准,正确处理"示范校"与"非示范校"建设的关系问题。     

论强化政府的经济职能是社会主义市场经济的内在要求

完善社会主义市场经济体制必须加强政府的经济职能,因为我国的市场经济是以公有制为基础的;是在社会主义初级阶段的条件下建设的市场经济;以实现全面小康社会和共同富裕为目标;是人民当家做主的市场经济。所以必须强化政府的经济职能才能实现。     

A pedagogical alliance for academic achievement: Socio-Emotional effects on assessment outcomes

Assessment of student learning outcomes is often discussed in relation to curriculum, standards and even administration practices. However, assessment of learning outcomes is rarely discussed in light of students’ socio-emotional contexts, which might help or hinder learning outcomes. For example, do students’ perceptions of the teacher as trustworthy influence their empathic views on classmates, learning engagement, academic achievement and wellbeing? The present paper reports the results of a theoretically-driven, short-term longitudinal study designed to explore the effects of socio-emotional variables, specifically students’ trust in teachers and empathy towards self and peers on engagement for learning, academic achievement, and wellbeing. Grounded in attachment theory and the LEAFF model, Panel Structural Equation Modeling (P-SEM) results revealed three significant pathways, which provide evidence that student trust in teachers may serve to launch a domino effect of outcomes, predicting students’ empathic views of classmates, learning engagement, academic achievement, and wellbeing.     

试论西方新公共管理的理论缺陷

新公共管理思想是一种新的公共管理研究范式。新公共管理提出了实现专业化管理、关注绩效、分离公共部门的政策职能与管理职能，引入私营部门的管理方法以及主张以市场、结果和顾客为取向等理论观点，对公共行政研究具有重要意义。然而，我们必须看到新公共管理还存在着很多理论缺陷，体现在新公共管理价值现偏离公共管理本来的目标追求，在管理方法上盲目崇拜私营部门和市场管理技术与经验。对公共行政伦理和公共管理实践造成不利影响等，这些理论缺陷应引起我们特别注意。
