中国传统教育的特色与反省

本文所要讨论的是传统中国教育的特色。依序交待下面七个特色:养士教育与科举的影响,为己之学与书院的理想与实践,儒家经典的教育,庶民教化、祭祀与"儒家正统",个别施教、不分年龄班次的教育,文字考试的影响,权威人格的形成。这些是笔者研究中国明末以前教育史的结论。

崔锡鼎的《礼记类编》研究——以家礼观为中心

在17世纪的朝鲜,学者们对礼学表现出了很大的关注和研究。但是在朱子学一统天下的时代,从批判的角度来对礼学进行重新分析却不是易事。因为这意味着对传统价值观的挑战。朝鲜儒者崔锡鼎（1646—1711）对儒学经典《礼记》的研究以及对其的注释书——《礼记类编》是基于对以前研究的怀疑以及力图恢复经典的原意而创作的经典著述类书籍。崔锡鼎的《礼记类编》不只是一部经典注释书,而是试图恢复《礼记》的原本而做的重新编排和构成。全书由18卷5册构成,主要分为《家礼》、《邦国礼》、《学礼》、《吉礼》、《凶礼》、《嘉礼》、《宾礼》等。他认为家礼不仅指的是冠婚丧祭的仪礼,它是修身齐家的一部分。为了修身,君子必须要具备相应的道德品性,这就需要在日常生活中践行礼节规范。     

The Counselor as a Developmental Instructor

The role of a developmental instructor is described as the use of information about students to structure classroom environments to maximize personal growth and mastery of subject matter. The subject matter for one course “Themes in Human Identity” was drawn from current and classical literature. Developmental change was assessed according to Perry's model of ethical and intellectual development of college students. Twentyeight of thirty-one students showed positive change.     

Solving Hitchcock''s transportation problem by a genetic algorithm

Genetic algorithms (GAs) employ the evolutionary process of Darwin's nature selection theory to find the solutions of optimization problems. In this paper, an implementation of genetic algorithm is put forward to solve a classical transportation problem, namely the Hitchcock's Transportation Problem (HTP), and the GA is improved to search for all optimal solutions and identify them automatically. The algorithm is coded with C and validated by numerical examples. The computational results show that the algorithm is efficient for solving the Hitchcock's transportation problem.     

日本右翼极端主义的过去和现在

日本右翼极端主义是一种为日本扩张政策提供辩解和保护的思想,目的是“增强日本精神和日本民族主义”。被奉为现代化之父的福泽谕吉（Fukusawa Yukichi)就是一个极为顽固的右翼极端分子,他鼓励日本人的帝国主义倾向从而推动了当时日本的扩张政策。今天日本右翼极端主义表现出三种倾向：一种表现为不愿承认日本在二战中战败,有一定反美情绪;另外一种表现为新的保守主义;还有一种表现为传统的保守思想。     

An exploratory study on singaporean secondary school students’ perceptions of choral learning

This paper explores 122 secondary school students’ perceptions of the choral learning environment. A survey questionnaire was developed taking into consideration the responses of a pilot study in which students were requested to list what they liked and disliked about the choir. The participants rated their degree of agreement on a five-point scale on psychosocial and other perspectives of choral learning. Three research questions were posed: (1) What are Singaporean secondary school students’ perceptions of choral learning? (2) Are there any gender differences in their perceptions of choral learning? (3) Are there any across school differences in their perceptions of choral learning? The findings of the study were discussed from the perspective of Singapore’s education and learning environment research.
