Infant Attachment Security and Early Childhood Behavioral Inhibition Interact to Predict Adolescent Social Anxiety Symptoms

Insecure attachment and behavioral inhibition (BI) increase risk for internalizing problems, but few longitudinal studies have examined their interaction in predicting adolescent anxiety. This study included 165 adolescents (ages 14–17 years) selected based on their reactivity to novelty at 4 months. Infant attachment was assessed with the Strange Situation. Multimethod BI assessments were conducted across childhood. Adolescents and their parents independently reported on anxiety. The interaction of attachment and BI significantly predicted adolescent anxiety symptoms, such that BI and anxiety were only associated among adolescents with histories of insecure attachment. Exploratory analyses revealed that this effect was driven by insecure‐resistant attachment and that the association between BI and social anxiety was significant only for insecure males. Clinical implications are discussed.

1930年国内形势和郁达夫的个人生活都出现了巨大的变化，一方面是人到中年后心境逐渐沉潜平和；另一方面，由于历经变故，磨难，世事无常之感也更甚于常人。在禅宗的清空之气和超然态度的影响下，他向往自然，平淡，闲适的生活境界，作品中流露出明显的隐逸之气。不过，对时事的敏感和放不下的责任心却使他难以在禅宗里获得真正的解剖，正因此，抗战爆发后，他挺身出而出，捐躯赴国。     

International collaborations in learning and teaching: perspectives from a visiting professorship

This article provides a reflection on the outcomes of an international collaboration between health librarians and academics at York St John University and Pacific University Oregon. In particular, it describes how a month‐long visiting professorship from an academic with a clinical librarian background at the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences helped to develop and inform teaching practice in the areas of information literacy and evidence‐based health practice on health programmes at Pacific University. Perspectives are offered from both institutions on the rich exchange of knowledge and practice that took place during the visit and the ongoing impact it has had on teaching practices. H. S.     

逃禅易，逃世难－论二十年代作家的两种不同的逃禅倾向

在现代文学史上，20年代作家中具有“逃禅”倾向的不在少数，但由于个性气质，生活经历，精神禀赋，人生追求以及学识修养的不同，又表现出两种不同的类型，其中，以夏丐尊，许地山等为代表对佛教禅宗有精深理解的作家，大都接受了佛家的苦空观，追求有限中的自由，以郁达夫，庐隐为代表的热情浪漫而又苦闷焦灼的青年作家则寻求在“爱”中涅pan，但都没有获得真正的解脱。     

Collegiate athletes and career identity

Given the unique experiences of collegiate athletes and the need to facilitate their transition as they complete postsecondary education and join the workforce, the present study sought to evaluate a group-administered career development program at a US university focused on preparing students for the transition into professional life upon graduation. Utilizing the quantitative portion of the Life After Sport Scale, we surveyed National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I student athletes to examine the relationship between attending the career intervention sessions and career-athlete identity. Results suggested that attending one or more program session workshops was not significantly related to career-athlete identity, while student gender had the strongest association with this potentially important construct in student athlete career development. Research and practice implications of these findings are discussed.
